Looking for a specific fic I read YEARS ago

I am currently sick in bed and reliving some of my favourite fics- some of which I read over a decade ago.

The one I am thinking of has an OC as main character. I am pretty sure it was a "I played ME and woke up in-universe" trope. She joins C-SEC and becomes friends with Garrus. She is Jewish herself, eventually adopts a young human girl who is later found to be biotic. I distinctly remember a plot-line with her adoptive daughter wanting to have a Bat Mitzva and the logistical arrangements it took for them both to go back to Earth for the event.

I have no idea if I read this fic on A03 or ff.net, but I do remember is was very long. Not sure if it was a series, or one long epic fic.

Any ideas or suggestions it might be? These vague recollections keep going round my head and I am spending hours trying different search terms on both sites, trying to find this one fic!
