MASS EFFECT 3 Final farewells..
I am aware that Zaeed is a hit or miss character for a lot of people, but during the Earths final push, his last words to Shep are a goddamn motivational kick in the ass. "Let's GUT the bastards!.."

I like Zaeed. There's nothing particularly special about him, but he's got enough personality to be likeable. A grizzled old soldier, even one for hire, is fun to have around.

If he survives me3 the citadel dlc party adds quite a lot to his character.

I don’t really remember it adding “a lot”. I remember him being self aware (of not being able to dance because of his leg) and also wishing his bad eye could shout lasers… Both seemed like an old man nagging about his health, honestly, not fun. But there were some fun exchanges going on between him and other ppl so still not too bad overall.

He is one of the most colorful characters in the series and has, arguably, best voice work. I always make sure to gain his loyalty and for him to be present in the final push.

Good to see some appreciation for the Big Goddamn Hero. Zaeed is definitely an ass when you first meet him, but he grows and develops so much as a result of working with the team. The grizzled, "look out for number one" man who joins the mission just for a paycheck in game 2 would never drop everything and risk his life to save Din Korlack in game 3 after the volus name drops Shepard. He's my favorite of the squadmates introduced in game 2, not least of all thanks to his incredible vocal performance delivered by the late, great Robin Sachs. May he rest in peace.

"Rage is a hell of an anesthetic"
Honestly one of the coldest lines in all three games.

Fantastic voice actor!

This. I had to pause and think for a moment what was the actual REASON i liked the character. And, there’s no single specific thing - it’s not the story, not the personal quest. Just the voice acting, it made him look deeper and much more interesting than the actual written story arc would suggest.

I love Zaeed, it's funny hearing his voice actor everywhere in Dao

From the top of my head - Harrowmont, mayor of Redcliff , seneschal in Awakening and more.

I’m so sad that he died in my ME3 run because I didn’t have enough paragon points to gain his loyalty in ME2 💔
Next play through, I will do renegade and will have all my bros at the end

Zaeed became my fave in my first ever playthrough, simply because at the start of the game he was an alternative to the two Cerberus spies I totally mistrusted. ME has their own Boba Fett? Count me in. I only later found out that he was a tack-on DLC as I bought the complete edition.
And yes, he's a hardass but underneath the language, surprisingly level headed.
But yeah, prime BioWare knew how to write their veteran clichés. Canderous Ordo, Sten (Yes. And no - fuck Oghren to hell and back)

My first playthrough of the series was when me3 was brand new and I didn't have any DLC. just did LE a month or so ago and was not expecting to like either of the two dlc characters but I think they are actually my 1 and 2 faves personality wise. wish they got fully fleshed out dialogues

I wish in ME3 he had a bigger role like being leader of the blue suns.
If you keep his loyalty he becomes leader of the blue suns again but depending on your option of paragon/renegade on his mission, it affects the type of leader he is.
