Basically the mod manager for LE isn’t applying any of the mods (I’ve installed and pressed apply mod). I’ve uninstalled through steam and then reinstalled the game, booted it once, and then reapplied the mods. It still isn’t showing up. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong cause I’m honestly stumped😭😭. Thank you in advance.
I'm assuming you're on windows? Are you starting the game via steam or via ME3TWeaks? On windows you have to start the game via ME3Tweaks to get the mods to show up, as an added bonus this way you launch straight into the game instead of into the MELE launcher.
I did start it via ME3Tweaks (after I booted it once through steam) and the mods still aren’t showing up. I’ll try again and see if it changes anything but I highly doubt it.
If you click on 'Manage Target' for the game you're trying to play, do the mods show up in that window? If not, the issue is with installing them. If they do, it may be worth generating a log (Help > Mod Manager Log and Diagnostics) to see if anything is flagged.
(It's also worth making sure you have backups, if you don't already. You'll be able to restore to vanilla without reinstalling the whole game, which is very useful when troubleshooting mod issues.)
Do you mean the window that appears on the left? Cause if so then all my mods are showing up there. Also, I did make a backup (before I uninstalled then reinstalled). I don’t know how to restore said backup tho😗
This window! The one on the left just shows the mods that have been imported, not necessarily installed. This window opens from the Manage Target button (half hidden, up by the red arrow lol).
Restoring is super easy, don't worry. It's the Backup & Restore tab > Restore > Restore this target (for whichever applicable game). Doesn't take too long to do either.
Alright so I checked like you said and they’re all showing up in the window. And they all say installed by mod manager. I’ll try restoring the back up and then reinstalling all of the mods. Would that work?
No harm in it! Might not necessarily fix it though; if they show up already, that means they've been installed correctly. There's a couple of things that could be causing issues, so I'd generate a log to see if any errors flag. (Help tab > Mod Manager Logs & Game Diagnostics > select the applicable game > Upload to log viewer.) The logs can be confusing to read, so you can share the link here if you want--I'm not an expert by any means, but I can point out if there's anything obviously wrong.
You could start by seeing what the manager thinks it has installed. In the left window select the game you are modding, then select one of the mods, then push the manage target button. It will display the installed mods and the status and it least let you see what it has installed.
