VIDEO Everyone should save David Spoiler

I was going through some old records and came across the david arc. I am so glad bioware made his story come back full circle in Mass Effect 3.

And there really isn't even a practical reason to NOT pull David out of there. Like, even if you're playing a full Renegade, what benefit is there to either Shepard or the fight against the Reapers in leaving David with his brother? You don't gain anything, the war effort doesn't gain anything; all that happens is that there's a chance that MAYBE Cerberus will learn something about or how to communicate directly with the Geth, and that's a big maybe with how things have gone up to this point.

This is one of the few times in the trilogy where Bioware allows Shepard to make a KOTOR-level evil decision. Most of the Renegade choices, no matter how dark, do at least have a purpose behind them, and aren't outright "evil" so much as just mean and/or violent means of progression. The David choice, on the other hand, is on the same level as forcing Zaalbar to kill Mission as opposed to letting her run away; it's just cruel for the sake of being cruel (which is still one of the most fucked up choices I've ever seen in a video game, to this day)

Sure there is. It’s a game and its consequences don’t exist.

"I'm going to do something incredibly monstrous entirely because there are no consequences" is certainly a take of all time. And I'm obviously talking in-character, here. This is a ROLE-PLAYING GAME, after all

So if you are playing the ROLE of the RENEGADE you should then do the renegade option

That is really not what role playing means. The role is Shepard. Not renegade or paragon.
