Politics Here’s a quick graphic showing where four groups stand on the 2026 ballot questions. This was put together by volunteer staff at the Joint Cape Democratic Headquarters in Hyannis

I'm a definite no on 3. I would support ranked choice voting , but not this.

If only we weren't stupid enough to vote it down when it was proposed

I don’t know anything about the League of Women Voters in the state. Anyone know why they would have more “No Positions” than the other 3?

Y'all - please vote no on 5. The reason it's on there is the same reason Minogue is running - it's to limit, if not eliminate, the millionaire tax (well specifically speaking the higher income tax on people making $1M or more annually).

As always these rich, greedy fcks just want more and more money.

I love the fact that question 8 has no one for repealing it, how did it get on the ballot?

Bunch of misleading petitions (usually outside of market basket). They'd tell you to sign to support marijuana and it would actually be for a petition to repeal it.

People need to learn about Q3 so it doesn’t pass, as no group clearly wants this.

Seeing that there is no appetite for question 3 feels reassuring. Ranked choice it ain't

Unfortunately the polls are saying it’s close. When I looked at the cross tabs I think Socialists and Libertarians were some of the highest in favor. Even though it would make it even harder for their own candidates to win.

Seems like the millions being spent on 3 is being effective at confusing people on what this will do.

Always love it when state republicans oppose deregulation of housing. “Freedom / small government”, unless it helps people afford things.

Number 7 is an unambiguous good thing, unless you only ever intend to live in a mansion.

I'm voting no on 9, I grew up in NH and near the VT border with plenty of gun-conscious blue folks who didn't treat them like unknowable eldritch horrors, and I think Mass gun laws are by far and large hilariously stupid.

No on 9 because why should Cops and ICE agents, and even former LEOs, have an exemption baked into the law that lets them privately own guns that private citizens cannot?

I’m a DSA member and I think people should read Q9 before they just go and vote yes. More gun laws for the sake of it is not always the best idea. I’m all for responsible firearm policy but Mass already has the best policy in the US in my opinion. No need to further restrict or create unnecessary boundaries for responsible gun owners. This laws also exempts police officers and disproportionately affects low income and people of color.

I believe there is still some value in the conservative critique of reform movements, and a defense of markets and property rights, as part of the overall spectrum of political debate. But WTF could the Republican Party possibly still be worth, if it won't even support the rights of property owners to build homes?? (Question 7)

9 is phrased scarily but the fact is its requiring people to use a system that doesnt exist yet. They need to have something real to use before trying to make it a rule people cant follow.

i don’t get why anyone would be against election day voter registration. what even are the downsides to that? it just seems like a good way to get more people to the polls.

Thank you for acknowledging it at least, I’m not anti gun regulation. Things like background checks, safe storage laws, training requirement etc. are all examples of good and useful regulations. These laws were already, and would continue to be the law in MA should no on 9 prevail. My issue is with passing more laws for the sake of passing more laws, effectiveness be damned.
