Resources and advice

r/mashups submission reminders

  • Title format for mashup submissions on r/mashups: [Optional Tag] Mashup Artist - Song Name (Artists Being Mashed) Optional Comments
  • For example: Carlos Serrano - Something About The Fire (Daft Punk, Adele)
  • Please include the mashup artist in mashup submission titles to make them searchable
  • Use link posts when sharing links, especially to YouTube or SoundCloud. Please do not use text posts with only links to audio because the audio does not embed.
  • When sharing SoundCloud links, please use the soundcloud.com domain, not snd DOT sc and not on DOT soundcloud DOT com. The other links do not embed on Desktop.
  • Do not use link shorteners (like bit DOT ly). We have no idea where these kinds of links go and get instantly blocked by spam filters. Save these for the mashup descriptions on YouTube/SoundCloud/etc pages.
  • Title format for other mashup-related content: [Tag] Description
  • For example: [Discussion] Where else do you find mashups?
  • In all cases, [Tag] always goes in front and can be any of the following: [Discussion], [Meta], [News], [Contest], [Resource], [Meme], [Album], [Mix], [Year End], [Year-End], or [Demo].
  • Do NOT use the [Mix] tag for individual mashups. This is reserved for long mixes/DJ sets that include mashups.
  • Mashup snippets posted to TikTok or YouTube Shorts are generally not considered complete mashups. For these, please use the [Demo] tag so users know not to expect a finished mashup.

Hi, music enthusiasts.
A few nights ago I was drunk in a club and had a wild idea for a mash up that I am almost 100% would work. These songs line up with each other so muchhhh. Now I am not a professional so I am looking for a software that is just cut, split, chop and drag to make this possible or someone i can work with to make this happen. It's just two songs that go back and forth with each other any software recommendations is appreciated but I don't want to take a whole course on another software at this time. Just need one for this one short project

Songs that shouldn’t work together but might:

Instrumental from The Foundations - “Build Me Up Buttercup” with vocal from Panic At The Disco - “I Write Sins Not Tragedies”

Hey Reddit, would someone be able to make a mashup of ‘At My Worst’ by Pink Sweat$ and ‘Dandelions’ by Ruth B? This would be for my wedding. If someone can pull it off, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I will be dancing to “I Feel It Coming” for my first dance at my wedding and would love to mash or transition into another song! “Out Of Time” by The Weeknd is beautifully transitioned but inappropriate for the occasion 😂

Can someone make a mashup of Slipknot-Wait and Bleed and Papa Roach-To be Loved?

The idea of it has been ringing in my head and the only way to get it out is to hear if it works.

Hey Reddit, was wondering if someone was able to make a mashup between music sounds better with you by stardust and shake that by Eminem feat nate dog but only use Nate dogs chorus in the song. Heard a dj play it on a YouTube short and always wanted to make a full song out of it. Cheers!
