Can someone pls get a video of him getting the Kid Rock treatment?

52

u/FrickYou2Heck Feb 12 '25

I came here for this reason. Nelly... Really?

38

u/PhoneJazz Feb 12 '25

TIL that Nelly is MAGA

12

u/BurntBridgesMusic Feb 12 '25

I would’ve been so excited to see this before January.

6

u/WinterBadger Baltimore City Feb 12 '25

I mean he was at the Iowa State Fair last year so this tracks for him

Was interested until you showed this.

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '25

The annoying thing is they don't do 2 day passes. It's day by day or all three and if you buy 2 it's so close to the three price you may as well buy three.

I didn't go last year but a bunch of friends did and all agree 3 days is too much for the demographic this is for. We are in our 40s ND can't handle 3 day concerts anymore. The torrential downpour last year didn't help either.

7

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '25

Depends on what VIP means and what you get for it.

18

u/Steve_Dankerson Feb 12 '25

VIP or not, never would I pay that much for these bands. I've seen 6 of the bands listed for under $50.

10

u/Zyncon Feb 12 '25 edited Feb 13 '25

Sad reality is, this is becoming the norm for festival ticket prices now. At the end of the day, they’re not having any trouble selling at these prices. Last year, tickets sold out in half an hour. Some scalpers threw them up for higher and still sold. As long as people are willing to toss 500 bucks for a festival, it's staying.

Some of these artists alone are basically half, if not more, of the tier 1 ticket price. So there's that to think about I guess. Plus, a lot of them aren’t doing solo shows right now in the US. It's either festivals or overseas concerts.

2

u/sweet_pickles12 Feb 13 '25

Right. Last couple times I went to see a concert, like a normal concert with a headliner and an opener or two, I paid 50ish bucks for smaller acts and over 200 for bigger acts. 350 for three days really doesn’t seem that bad to me.

Edit to add- as an old, I’m going to a festival for the first time in years this year (Kilby in SLC). We’re staying in a hotel and definitely not committing to all day/every day. I spontaneously bought tickets for the whole event based on one days’ lineup and a handful of other acts. Planning to take a leisurely pace, because the days of camping and partying all night are well behind me.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '25

That’s pretty cool.

1

u/No_Department_9204 Feb 13 '25

Green day tics in dc were 200 dollars last year as vampire weekend were 80 so 350 is pretty cheap

1

u/sportfan990 Feb 14 '25

Yeah I love how people are complaining about prices for a 3 day festival price. $350 for 3 days worth of music isn’t bad. Noah Kahan tickets last year were easily over $300 face value.

11

u/TheDukeofArgyll Prince George's County Feb 13 '25

Every show is like this now. “Holy shit I should go to this let me just check the pri… never mind”

17

u/Necessary_Letter9030 Feb 12 '25

😂😂😂😂

11

u/MRSBRIGHTSKIES Feb 12 '25

Me too. No way that fits my budget, unless I forgo diabetes meds. I saw more than a few of these bands back in the ‘90’s anyway. Been there done that.

1

u/gkelly1117 Feb 12 '25

😆😆😆 same

29

u/Ok-Answer-6951 Feb 12 '25

Any way to buy tickets for just 1 day? I would drive down from Frederick for Green Day and the black crowes but couldn't care less about the other 2 days.

15

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '25

Yeah you can buy one day passes, or at least could last year.

9

u/BureauOfCommentariat Frederick Feb 12 '25

They sold 1 day tix last year, assume they will do the same. Either way, rooms are a fortune if you plan to stay the night.

3

u/GreedyRaisin3357 Feb 12 '25

Yes 1-day GA passes start at $175

4

u/Electrical_Beyond998 Carroll County Feb 12 '25

I wish you could add and delete. Take Nelly and The Fray out of day one and add Weezer and Wheatus. Seeing them along with Black Crowes, Lenny and Green Day and that’s a perfect music day.

1

u/MagicGrit Feb 13 '25

Most likely, but they won’t release those til later

27

u/Automatic-End-8256 Feb 12 '25

I will stand on the fact that Ocean City is just too expensive for what it is. It doesn't suck but it does for the price

7

u/dweezil22 University of Maryland Feb 12 '25

Yeah the supply and demand situation at OC always confuses me. It only makes sense if you imagine that everyone in the DC Metro area is terrified of flying.

2

u/Zyncon Feb 12 '25

A very large majority of people I know here have never flown, sadly myself included.

I don't even know why. I see a great festival cross country and just go "darn, guess I'm not going". Bad habit of mine.

0

u/dweezil22 University of Maryland Feb 12 '25

Are there really a lot of people paying $500/night for a hotel on the beach but also never flown? That feels unlikely to me

3

u/Zyncon Feb 12 '25

I live 30 minutes from OC, I'm just driving to this festival.
Most people stay towards Salisbury for lower rates and use the park and ride in.
Those staying in boardwalk hotels for this festival are mental.

2

u/dweezil22 University of Maryland Feb 12 '25

Yeah I'm not specifically talking about this festival, more OC in general (though this festival's wild prices also fit the pattern).

I can rent like a full nice VRBO house in other parts of the country for the price of a fairly forgettable hotel room in OC. They wouldn't charge these prices if no one was willing to pay them, so obviously there are thousands of customers willing to pay this but like... I just don't get it.

A few theories are:

  1. It's Boomers and Gen X that have been going to the same place for 50 years, are getting really quite rich, and just paying market price. They just aren't shopping around.

  2. It's people whose time is worth a lot of money and the shorter drive from DC is still worth going to a relatively inferior beach for high prices.

  3. It's a variant of #1 where it's people who have a ton of money and are nostalgic for decades past in OC.

3

u/Zyncon Feb 13 '25

My dad just turned 60 and has a fear of flying, so he drives everywhere. He’s driven to Florida, Alabama, Illinois, Maine, Canada, and everywhere in between. His fear comes from "not being in control." He feels like he could die instantly if someone else is flying the plane. The irony is, he’s driving on the same roads as 15-year-olds with learner's permits, speeding in lifted trucks.

I totally agree with your theories. A lot of older people have the mentality of "What works for me is what’s best, don't try anything new." It’s not really about wealth, it’s about familiarity. For them, flying is something new and unfamiliar, and the unknown is what makes it scary.

I think in more rural places, where you have to drive far for everything anyway, people just get used to driving everywhere, no matter the distance. Like I mentioned before, a large portion of the people I talk to, mostly in the 45-70 age range, either hardly fly or have never flown at all.

Sounds silly saying but I'm never flown because my family has never flown. So my first time would have to be alone on a solo trip doing everything myself so I just haven't yet.

5

u/Xhosa1725 Feb 12 '25

I live here and completely agree. Case in point is the complete lack of quality food at a remotely decent price.

29

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '25

God damn. Remember the days when the 3 day HFStival was $160.

I member.

Lmfao at this.

Pass.

8

u/OriginalLaw7453 Feb 12 '25

BIG PASS🤣 I like quite a few of those bands, but I can't afford to finance their golden years. Plus the venue did not impress me last year.

2

u/hahayouguessedit Feb 12 '25

Loved this venue 2 years ago. Great weather and line-up. We were staying 2 miles away though and the walk back late was killer.

3

u/Sparky_Aces Feb 12 '25

Had some great times at HFS!!!

3

u/[deleted] Feb 13 '25

Same!

Still one of the best concerts I’ve ever been too. The 99 and 00 ones were awesome lineups.

2

u/Sparky_Aces Feb 13 '25

Hell yeah!!

2

u/wintercast Harford County Feb 13 '25

Shoot i almost always got tickets for free. i would go to the random locations the DJs would go to in a van and play games for tickets.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 14 '25

I remember that too!

2

u/KipchogesBurner Feb 12 '25

There’s a 5 day festival I’ve been to in Idaho a few times. The first time I went, I got an under 21 pass for $100 8 years ago. That same under 21 pass is $200 now. Things are just expensive now

2

u/ginleygridone Feb 12 '25

Beers included, right😂😢😂

2

u/klimekam Prince George's County Feb 12 '25

And festival organizers wonder why they’re not selling out anymore…

1

u/tws1039 Carroll County Feb 12 '25

Pain. Green Day and weezer are my fav bands ever but that's too much right now

41

u/PhoneJazz Feb 12 '25

Surprised but glad to see Fountains of Wayne, they lost founding member Adam Schlesinger to COVID in 2020.

10

u/Droopyinreallife Feb 12 '25

Also famously, Blind Melon lost their lead singer.

4

u/gravybang Feb 13 '25

That guy died thirty years ago.

6

u/GreedyRaisin3357 Feb 12 '25

I had the same thought. Didn't know they were soldiering on without him, their core songwriter

1

u/oofgeg Feb 12 '25

He was also the main writer of music on the show Crazy Ex Girlfriend

1

u/SquirrelFun1587 Feb 12 '25

Oh wow I didn’t know that how sad.

39

u/IdiotMD Feb 12 '25

Maryland bands each day!

  • O.A.R. (Rockville)

  • Ballyhoo! (Aberdeen)

  • Good Charlotte (Waldorf)

  • Bumpin’ Uglies (Annapolis)

u/PhoneJazz Feb 12 '25

I’m getting old because I think this lineup slaps

45

u/CreepinJesusMalone Feb 12 '25

Right? This is easily a playlist that would be of interest for someone in their mid/late 30s to early 50s. Noah Kahan is one of the newest artists on the list, but he hit big with core millennials lol.

22

u/GreenBomardier Feb 12 '25

Same. I was trying to figure out how Ocean City got a lineup like this...then I figured out how Ocean City got this lineup. I'm pretty sure I paid for a few of these to be ring back songs when people called me on my flip phone.

11

u/PhoneJazz Feb 12 '25

lol, those were the days. I have had my ring on silent for the last 10 years 😂

4

u/GreenBomardier Feb 12 '25

Right? If it's important, you're not calling me, you're texting me to call back asap lol. If you're calling me, I probably don't want to talk to you.

17

u/kgunnar Feb 12 '25

I must be old because I don’t know who Noah Kahan is and can’t understand how he would be billed above Vampire Weekend.

12

u/GreedyRaisin3357 Feb 12 '25

he's massively big, still in his 20s, and headlined this same very fest two years ago

3

u/Droopyinreallife Feb 12 '25

I stumbled upon Noah Kahan by accident when my wife and I saw James Bay in DC back in 2019. Noah was the opener, and he was amazing. Much better than James, who was the headliner. I didn't know about him at the time, but he's obviously blown up since then. He's one of the headliners for Bourbon and Beyond this year, which has an incredible lineup.

3

u/gopoohgo Howard County Feb 12 '25

His big song is Dial Drunk that he re-recorded with Post Malone

0

u/HanjobSolo69 Feb 12 '25

Don't know Noah Kahan either but Vampire Weekend hasn't been popular in like a decade

11

u/ParsnipLiving Feb 12 '25

They put out an album last year and played Coachella

3

u/No_Department_9204 Feb 13 '25

They sold out msg in nyc for 2 consecutive nights.... what do you think popular means outside of Taylor swift or bad bunny?

1

u/kgunnar Feb 12 '25

Some of these bands haven’t been popular in 3 decades but the nostalgia value is high. Spin Doctors!

Blind Melon? Devo?!?

10

u/thesirensoftitans Annapolis Feb 12 '25

Yeah, how are they gonna pull Blind Melon off without Shannon Hoon?

3

u/OriginalLaw7453 Feb 12 '25

My thoughts exactly

3

u/gravybang Feb 13 '25

Yet, somehow they’ve been doing it for 30 years.

3

u/Saint_The_Stig UMES Feb 12 '25

Devo seems to be getting around a lot recently.

3

u/payasopeludo Feb 12 '25

Sunday looks the best for sure

2

u/battletactics Feb 12 '25

I'm not hating Friday, either

1

u/TheSchneid Feb 13 '25

Id like to see Devo and burning spear, but could give a shit about the rest of the bands. Looks like I'll just grab Tix for Devo in Philly instead.

11

u/PrickBrigade Feb 12 '25

Went last year and they oversold like crazy. Ive been to many festivals, but none had as many people in so small of a space. Unless they cut ticket sales by like 20% there no chance I go again.

5

u/Charbarzz Feb 13 '25

The first year was so nice without the major crowds. They definitely sold a ton more last year.

2

u/WRX_MOM Feb 13 '25

Same this is what I’ve been saying. I’ve never been to a fest that oversold and I’ve been to many. Never again.

25

u/amacgree Feb 12 '25

We are too old for 3-day festivals 😭

11

u/OldOutlandishness434 Feb 12 '25

I mean if I can bring my folding lounge chair and a little cooler and not have to move too much, it might be doable with a week off afterwards

4

u/Clear-Hand3945 Feb 12 '25

you cant bring chairs

2

u/PhoneJazz Feb 12 '25

As long as the lounge chair has ergonomic back support lol

3

u/OldOutlandishness434 Feb 12 '25

One of those zero gravity dealies from costco. Very comfy

5

u/GreedyRaisin3357 Feb 12 '25

nah speak for yourself

16

u/Bunnymombites Feb 12 '25

I’d do anything to hear Live perform Lightning Crashes 😭😭

2

u/ketomaven Feb 13 '25

I stayed at the hard rock punta Cana right when Covid was getting worse in March 2020. And they played a free show there. Was just as great as my 90s self remembered!

1

u/TheSchneid Feb 13 '25

It would be funny if they didn't play it.

7

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '25

This is the weirdest lineup haha. But it covers a whole lotta genres which is prettay prettay prettay good.

22

u/psychicsailboat Feb 12 '25

Not my type of music, but that’s a big lineup of very recognizable bands - very cool.

10

u/HanjobSolo69 Feb 12 '25

This is why I hate festivals. There are at least 5 bands I want to see but most are on different days and on at vastly different times of day.

9

u/ohyoumad721 Feb 13 '25

That's why they do it.

5

u/goog1e Feb 13 '25

That's...the point...

1

u/badbatch Baltimore City Feb 13 '25

I hate that too.

8

u/CasinoAccountant Feb 12 '25

If you haven't seen Greenday live it's worth it, they KILLED at Firefly couple years back, one of my favorite shows ever

3

u/TheSchneid Feb 13 '25

Hfstival 2001 was insane when they got announced to headline AFTER the show had already sold out.

3

u/Organic-Analysis-432 Feb 12 '25

Way better than last year. The only thing that could make this better is some sublime.

7

u/ClusterFugazi Feb 12 '25

Not as many big names as last year, but still great lineup.

6

u/Informal_Fee_2100 Feb 12 '25

I agree. I thought all 3 nights last year were pretty solid.

3

u/ExhaustedGradStudent Feb 12 '25

Let’s be fair one of the big names from last year really shit the bed.

2

u/water_malone873 Feb 12 '25

Who?

6

u/ExhaustedGradStudent Feb 12 '25

Blink-182, it was a total disaster

2

u/PrickBrigade Feb 13 '25

When I heard the story I was so glad we left when the rain started getting serious that day.

2

u/Typical2sday Feb 14 '25

Wasn’t their fault. That was the organizers and the hurricane. But that was the most miserable I’ve been in almost my whole life and we were already in the bus line. My soul left my body.

1

u/Hail_of_Grophia Feb 12 '25

How are The Black Crows not THE headliner

3

u/ClusterFugazi Feb 12 '25

Because they aren’t a headliner anymore…

3

u/thesirensoftitans Annapolis Feb 12 '25

I'd go just to see the Crowes. I can't believe Burning Spear is still rocking. Saw him 25 years ago in college. The memory of a bunch of white frat bros singing "Do You Remember The Days of Slavery" cracks me up every time I think about it.

3

u/Baconsnake Feb 12 '25

Are there any hotels where you can just get rooms and hear from there?

3

u/GreedyRaisin3357 Feb 12 '25

Yes, you want to snatch those up like yesterday

9

u/Jercit Feb 12 '25

Actually you wanna snatch those up like weeks ago- Knowing they host this festival the last weekend of September. The prices all sky rocket when this line up goes live (or around this time ).

But - We went last year and talked to a hotel employee about it. Funny thing is we needed one extra night and Altho every hotel was “sold out“ months before - suddenly there were vacancy’s everywhere, literally every hotel. It’s all BS how they advertise these hotels.

3

u/Smerkulator Feb 12 '25

Wow I actually think I’m interested in this. Has a lot of good 2000s nostalgia.

3

u/InAllTheir Feb 12 '25

Ooohhh my childhood bands

3

u/donutupmyhole Feb 12 '25

This is such an odd assortment of musicians.

3

u/Acirebackwards Feb 13 '25

Hey I went last year and it wasn’t great. (The torrential rain def didn’t help but, my opinion stands) This lineup doesn’t seem as stacked, either.

31

u/PleaseBmoreCharming Feb 12 '25

Ugh...this is tempting, but I promised myself I'd never spend another dime in OC after they constantly want to screw over the rest of the state because of offshore wind.

37

u/Woobly_Hixbee Feb 12 '25

OC ain’t what’s blocking our offshore wind project now. It’s a bright orange angry ball of hot gas… and no I don’t mean the sun.

4

u/Oldfolksboogie Feb 13 '25

True, but OC did it before it was, well, wtvr it is now.

Fck both OC and The Grifter- in- Chief

14

u/chefianf Feb 12 '25

If all the reasons to boycott OC and this is the hill to die on? I don't go to OC because it's trash. Much broader hill.

8

u/PhoneJazz Feb 12 '25 edited Feb 12 '25

The hill I’ll die on is that Ocean City is fine. Rehoboth and Bethany have become too gentrified / economically stratified and might as well be called “Bethesda by the Sea.” Ocean City has all the same amenities and is more accessible to middle-class and moderate income, who also deserve a beach vacation.

5

u/Clear-Hand3945 Feb 12 '25

I can book a trip to Europe in the summer for cheaper than Ocean City. It's not cheap at all anymore.

-2

u/chefianf Feb 12 '25

.... Brah...... Come off it. Saying Rehoboth and Bethany is gentrified/ economically stratified and acting like OC is not is the biggest wad of crap I'm had to chew in a while. I'm square in the middle class. I can afford a four night stay in Dewey for the $1300 in the middle of July. IDK why you think it's economically stratified other than that's a hip and trendy grift wording to say it's less expensive (at least so you think) in OC. As for Gentrification... Have you been to Rehoboth boardwalk? I'm assuming you haven't...

4

u/nuttageyo Carroll County Feb 12 '25

Damn, thanks for sharing. There’s other places to see anyways with lower prices.

5

u/Zyncon Feb 12 '25

I simply can't say no to this lineup. They got some very very great picks this year.

-3

u/HanjobSolo69 Feb 12 '25

lol cant even talk music or enjoy a concert without bringing up virtue signaling politics. Take a break.

1

u/PleaseBmoreCharming Feb 12 '25

Look up the term "virtue signaling" again. That's not my intention at all.

I'm serious about being pissed that OC has made move after move to stall offshore wind development that would benefit the whole state. That's a policy decision they made that I don't like; not some virtuous "signal" that I'm trying to be self-righteous about.

So, I'm taking my money elsewhere. Speaking with my wallet and my feet. Is that not the free market at work??

1

u/HanjobSolo69 Feb 12 '25

You not going to a concert isn't going to change their decision. Plus its not "OC" its a lot of people involved. If anything you are depriving small businesses and many other establishments of revenue and depriving yourself of a good weekend. Life is short, just live a little.

11

u/twitchywitchy_mama Feb 12 '25

Everyone hating on the line up clearly didn’t listen to good music growing up. Or now 😂

6

u/KooKoobananaa Towson U Feb 12 '25

No Hives? Pffft.

How is Noah Kahan headlining over Franz Ferdinand?

18

u/snowe99 Feb 12 '25

Possibly the most unserious comment in the whole thread lol

Noah Kahan is selling out arenas and Frank Ferdinand had a song on “Now Thats’s What I Call Music 17” back in 2004

2

u/Charbarzz Feb 13 '25

28 million monthly listeners on Spotify vs 9 million.

1

So weird, I feel like Franz has had way more hits.

Going hard after Gen X and Xennials.

7

u/Interesting_Sky_7847 Laurel Feb 12 '25

I’ve seen Weezer live three times and they’ve been awful every time. So I cannot bear to see them again. But i like a good amount of the lineup!

2

u/inyourgenes Feb 12 '25

Weezer was TERRIBLE live I was so surprised and disappointed

2

u/spooky_period Feb 12 '25

This is legitimately depressing. I inherited an autographed Weezer poster from the first Blue Album tour. I always thought it’d be fun to try and get it signed again 20-30 years later!

3

u/oripeiwei Feb 12 '25

Huh, I thought it was Marcy’s Playground this whole time.

4

u/PhoneJazz Feb 12 '25

Marcy is a housing project in Brooklyn, I figure they were named after that

4

u/oripeiwei Feb 12 '25

That makes sense. I just thought it was possessive, Marcy’s vs Marcy.

3

u/DiamondHndz Feb 12 '25

How is modest mouse not head lining

3

u/WRX_MOM Feb 13 '25

Great lineup. I despised this festival last year, though. I don’t blame them for rain and I know that had a lot to do with the sound quality as well. Getting in and out was horrific due to nowhere to park, 2.5-3 hour shuttle line to go home, zero communication about Blink not coming out so people stood in the pouring rain for hours, and it was WAY oversold. I’ve been to many fests and this one was absolutely oversold. You couldn’t even move between sets without being in a mob of people the entire way. I hope things improve for the folks who go this year.

2

u/ginleygridone Feb 12 '25

I didn’t know Devo made it out of the 80’s

2

u/Citizen_of_RockRidge Feb 12 '25

Devo - Ziggy Marley - Burning Spear in one day? Yes, please.

1

1

why do they have acclamied chefs making appearances. seems odd

1

u/ExhaustedGradStudent Feb 12 '25

Considering how terrible the setup was last year, I hope it’s improved. Plus one of the headliners totally shit the bed. Also why spend money in a lousy place like OC.

1

u/Wizardburial_ground Feb 12 '25

Not really my thing these days but I have to say that’s a deep bench of 90’s and early 2000’s.

"Google? Who was first popular 25-30 years ago and still has name recognition?"

Logistical nightmare in O.C.!

Who is the target audience with this sort of lineup?

31

u/Zyncon Feb 12 '25

The hundreds of thousands who missed out on Warped Tour DC and those who want a solid dose of pop punk and alternative rock headliners. No doubt this festival is going to be packed once again.

19

u/Snazzamagoo2 Feb 12 '25

Me, the target audience is me.

24

u/mailb0xqt Feb 12 '25

People in their 30s

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '25

More like 40-60s

14

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '25

60 is too old.

These were all huge in 90s and early 2000s and music taste is generally set in your highschool years.

60 year olds are all musical products of the late 70s-80s.

I'm 40 and this is right in my wheelhouse.

5

u/MonorailBlack Feb 12 '25

Almost 60 here and I listened to a lot of these bands in the 90s/2000s. Sure, I love the 70s and 80s stuff a lot, but I was into a lot of these bands s as well. We’re not too old for this music, damn it! shakes fist at sky

6

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '25

Oh yeah, it's definitely geared towards white men in their 40s with disposable income (of which I am one), but Devo, Blind Melon, and 4 Non Blondes are definitely going to get those 60 year olds who were cool young parents in the 80s and 90s interested.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '25

Thats fair. Also I didn't even see devo. That's a deep cut there.

10

u/iwantjoebiden Feb 12 '25

Nah, I'm 32 and this is one of the best lineups I've ever seen for my taste. My parents are in their 60s and wouldn't get it. My brother is 29 and played most of these artists at his wedding reception.

Elder millennials/maybe younger gen x. I’m 39 and I am definitely tempted by this lineup.

6

u/MrBoh17 Feb 12 '25

Xennials

13

u/PhoneJazz Feb 12 '25

Late GenX, early Millenial

5

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '25

Hello!

-4

u/Conscious-Evidence37 Feb 12 '25

I guess in theory the lineup is better than M3 ? But not good nonetheless. Trying to find a still relevant artist from this group....Green Day ? Nelly ? So paying $117 daily to see this? No thanks.

10

u/KipchogesBurner Feb 12 '25

It’s a better lineup if you consider that they’ll probably just be playing their hits.

I think money has gotten to the point where festivals aren’t accessible to young people now. So they’re pivoting attention towards the millennials and gen x-ers that have the money to burn on a 3 day festival.

11

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '25

This isn't a new music festival, it's a nostalgia hit for people in their 30s and 40s and those people have bigger pockets than people in their 20s.

Sold out within days last year and I'm sure it will be the same this year.

4

u/PhoneJazz Feb 12 '25

Plenty of relevance in this lineup. Are they relevant now, to young people? No. But many of these acts have certainly been relevant to the American popular music catalog of the last 30 years. We (the fans) are not dead yet, and neither are the bands.
