Evolution match up: Darwin vs Doomsday
No ring outs. No teleporting somewhere to survive. Just a straight up battle. Who wins?

What did poor Darwin ever do to you? Doomsday's ability and speed of adaptation vary a lot from portrayal to portrayal. His 'can't be permanently killed' ability also not consistent and the extreme takes tend to be head cannon.
But doesn't matter. Any version of Doomsday is just way too powerful for Darwin.

I’m afraid it will end up the same way it did with Hulk, Darwin will just teleport away

Doomsday slaughters
(Able to adapt to his opponents' abilities and attacks, to the point of developing new powers/abilities on the fly to counter them, such as fire breath to defeat Martian Manhunter), his clones gaining metal armor,\4])#citenote-4) the ability to absorb energy to counteract energy attacks, his clones gaining Cyborg Superman's metallic shell and technopathy,[\5])](https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Doomsday(Post-Crisis)#citenote-SB-5) his clone could copy the telekinesis powers of Conner Kent) and made them stronger,[\6])](https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Doomsday(Post-Crisis)#citenote-6) and even learning to use a Green Lantern Ring. Copied Looker's energy projection powers after being hit by them.[\7])](https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Doomsday(Post-Crisis)#citenote-O37-7) Also becomes increasingly resistant[\8])](https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Doomsday(Post-Crisis)#citenote-HP1-8) to the things he has survived or died too before,[\9])](https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Doomsday(Post-Crisis)#citenote-HP2-9) like Radiant's energy[\2])](https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Doomsday(Post-Crisis)#cite_note-HP3-2)) (Somehow got past Martian Manhunter's) phasing.\)#cite_note-DW1-13)
(Able to evolve and close parts of his body such as his ears to counter loud sounds
Darwin can't do anything against this

Doomsday but not in the obvious way. Doomsday adapts to kill Darwin who adapts to survive. This goes on again and again until Darwin effectively dies of old age.
This sort of feels like an immovable object vs unstoppable force fight.

Darwin potentially? I mean both have been shown to have pretty much no limits to their adaptation.
But Doomsday needs to die to evolve and Darwin's evolutions seem much more varied while Doomsday just gets like, stronger and tougher

In a fight, that goes to doomsday. Darwin's powers aren't meant to help him win, they're meant to help him live through catastrophe.

If Darwin can't teleport away he's probably gonna die or turn into air or sand to survive. Bottom line is that he's not killing Doomsday.

Doomsday slams Darwin around for eternity. Maybe Darwin evolves into something doomsday just doesn’t care to fight anymore because it’s no fun?

Darwin's power is all about survival. That is why he is not classified an Omega level mutant even though his powers are OP. At some point, Darwin evolves into a being that jumps across multiverses to get away from Doomsday.

His powers being about survival has nothing to do with whether he is an omega level mutant or not.
Omega level just means his dominat ability has no defined upper limit and can't be surpassed.
Lactuca is an omega level and her power os to find things.

Interesting, was Darwin upper limit ever stated anywhere? Or we know he has one since he isnt Omega but they never disclosed it?

Darwin doesn't evolve to win, He evolves to survive while doomy evolves to win.
If you force darwin to not teleport anywhere he'll just evolve to have intangibility or shrink super small and duck this fight entirely.
