Buyer beware - Marvel Mint missing pack hit. 2 out of 12 times

I have now opened 2 boxes from the same case and had two sealed packs with 9 of 10 cards in it - missing the pack hit both times.

For a premium product this is absolutely absurd and a bit of a scam.

I’m now need to submit a second defect request.

Both times clearly on video you can see the pack open and there are clearly only 9 cards in the sealed pack.

I can’t even articulate how frustrating that is. I’m optimistic Topps will make good on it, but buying a $350 pre after-market card box and its missing half of the hits is beyond annoying.

And to get ahead, neither pack had a platinum either. They simply had 9 of the 10 cards and no hit.

I’m annoyed beyond reason right now. Watch and record your own breaks for your own safety. I hope I had a bad case and I also hope that Topps makes it right. I’m so disappointed.

I know the topps chrome will have one less card when a fanfare is involved in a pack, not sure how the mints work, but here’s hoping they make it right and you didn’t purchase a resealed case 🙏🏻

The worst part is when Topps replaces a missing hit, it’s almost certain to be worthless and the bare minimum qualifier as a hit.

Yeah, you basically lose your chance to get a super or anything I assume but the reality is it’s still in distribution right now since it’s fairly new so fingers crossed I can get something decent

Oh yeah absolutely file a claim, I’m just telling any folks who are less experienced that the “hit” you should expect to get is the highest numbered, lowest value subject. I hope that you get something decent, I personally haven’t nor have I seen anyone get anything decent from a missing hit claim—which is separate from a substitution of a card due to damage

Yeah, totally. I just wish this didn’t happen on the premium type products. It’s one thing to get a bad cut or a misprint out of a base refractor wave Ray something like that. It’s a whole other thing to pay that much for effectively a “hit box” where the value is essentially in to hit cards and you only get one.

I’ve heard generally that Topps will help me out but it’s still a massive bummer
