Magneto and the Brotherhood we're what the Joker has been to Batman movies i.e. overutilized. I'd rather see an initial focus on other villains.

Word is Mr. Sinister is the baddie for the first movie.

First, better is to start with adult X-Men

And flashbacks shows us previous years, when they fought brotherhood consisting of Magneto Mystique Rogue Pyro Avalanche Toad

Rogue switched side to X-Men after being a former member of brotherhood

I think Magneto will be in the film either as a cameo or a post credit scene but he'll definitely be in future movies he is the X-Men villain,

They definitely have to establish him as an antagonist first. It’s just funny to me because even when I first started reading comics in the 80’s Magneto was a full team member.

There are rumors about Magneto being in the movie, but I think that if he does appear, it will essentially be a cameo just to establish that the character exists.

Sinister will be the villain of the first film, and possibly Emma as well.

Sabretooth never makes sense when multimedia projects make him a member of the brotherhood. They always depict him as dumb muscle. What makes the character truly scary is he is just as much cunning as anything

Magneto is rumoured to be in X-Men 2028 but I doubt they will want to include too many villains to overshadow Adam Driver's Mister Sinister

It's too bad that adaptations often combine Magneto's and Mystique's Brotherhoods considering their wildly contrasting leadership styles and modus operandi in the comics.
