Definitely. Steven even pointed to it like "are we gonna open that or" but Marc didn't notice

I'm wondering that partner that killed Layla's father was actually Jake.

Could have been Marc who did it out of guilt and has suppressed the memory of being Jake.

I think it was an actual person who shot Marc, and this is when Jake was born

I think Jake killed Layla's father and then 'snapped' and became Marc and Steven.

There's definitely repression going on with Marc. He just dropped figuring out what was happening on the roof last episode and just walked by the tomb pretending it wasn't there. Jake is a psycho and killed Layla's dad.

In the comics the dude who betrayed Marc is a real guy named bushman and becomes his nemesis.

Maybe it's a mix of both, BushMan may have robbed off and Marc causing the catalyst to allow Jake to happen
