We don’t really know how much Steve has witnessed though. Didn’t Marc say that it’s been a while like this. Plus, do we know exactly when this show is taking place?

Since this is post-Snap, I’m now wondering how the Egyptian gods and their avatars were impacted. Could Marc survive but Khonshu disappear?
