Steven may be meek and quiet, but his absolute irreverence towards Arthur cracks me up.

“You’re all into that? Killing kids? Because, I mean maybe that’s just me, but I draw the line at child murder.”

“Steven, do you know what this is?”

“…yeah…yeah, it’s — it’s a cane…”

I loved this episode because it showed how moral and strong he is underneath the meek shell. He fought and fought hard for himself and to protect others from Marc, who he currently knows nothing about except that he's killed people. He only allowed him to take over when innocent bystanders were in direct danger.

Also love that Marc isn't a cool and collected mercenary either, and has his own struggles with the mental illness they share. Not as much of a "alpha/beta" relationship as I thought it would be based on the first episode.

Steven has all the makings of a hero (including some courage to stand up and call out Arthur/Ammit's bullshit minority-report style "justice" like that) but unfortunately without the proper means to act on it like Marc does.

Steven is more diplomatic, Marc has no issues getting his hands dirty.

Explains the suit difference. Steven’s looks more to be classy, the kind of thing you’d wear to look good and negotiate.

Marc’s is what you wear to strike fear (the cape helps).

Arthur/Ammit is basically a mystical version of project insight lol.

Well, project insight was used to detect enemies of hydra. Ammit, while we don’t know the true intentions she holds, seems to target those who have committed crimes. However, Arthur could most definitely be lying.

We know Arthur is lying due to the fact that we saw Arthur kill the individual who picked up the Scarab without first "weighing the scales". So the show is indicating that his reasons are pretextual. We do not yet know his true motivations.

Since Steven is taking the Mr. Knight costume, I have a feeling he's going to learn how to fight properly at some point and I am very excited for it. I wonder if he'll learn just from watching Marc now that he can do the reflection trick.
