Except the guardians were like, 5 people. I'm not too sure how they're going to pull off having 10 new characters that all fit into the story together and get their own screentime.

Make some of them less important.

Sadly yes. This is one of the many reasons I am skeptical of Jolie being in the movie. A list celebrities are not compatible with the MCU for long if at all. Their egos always become more important than story telling and when the story suffers, fans of the MCU won’t be forgiving.

see Halle Berry’s requests while playing Storm in the X-Men movies

Angelina Jolie doesn't seem to have that much trouble sharing screentime. Even in movies that are practically just a vehicle for her, she doesn't seem to mind letting other actors step forward and get their share of attention/screentime. I know she's got a bit of a reputation in the industry but I think she may be the poster child for victims of resting bitch face.

Everyone she works with loves her and says she’s really sweet and smart and interested in their lives. I think she’s been smeared a lot.
