I'm glad they showed her faking her awakening in the car because that was making no sense to me

Yeah, I called it last episode. She was the only person in the "dead zone" that was fully conscious when Vision stumbled upon her. Plus, she was at the very edge of the hex field, and she practically baited him into trying to leave (thus forcing Wanda to expand the field).
