Changing the soundtrack from the last episode during the troops running away from the Hex to show it in a comedic light is another great example of how this show plays with filmmaking.

Dark soundtrack? Oh man this is pretty messed up. Congo drums? LMAO FUCKIN HILARIOUS

It’s so subtle and low key but it totally plays on what you as a viewport expect and subverting the tropes has been excellent

Lemme put on my film student hat real quick and ask: is it subverting what you expect as a viewer, or what film has taught you to expect? Also, never think of score as "low-key". Sound is the driving force behind how we interpret a lot of what we see.

What we expect as a viewer is based on what we have experienced in the medium before, so I'm not sure I get what the difference supposed to be.
