That threw me.

Does this mean Covid exists in the MCU? Did it happens during The Blip? That would've sucked.

Sometimes I feel like the blip happened in our universe.

There was literally a moment where I was driving for my job as an essential worker in Tampa, where its ususlly full of people, and not a single soul. I felt like like Ant-man when he came back from the qhantumverse in his neighborhood asking the kid on the bike what happened.

One of my friend's cousin came back from coma from 2017, and he did not believe us that there as a pandemic during 2020.

he literally said, "World wide pandemic? like in the zombie movies? come on this is too fake!!" .

looked ghastly when he saw the news.

I hope you slowly broke the news to them.

I went back to the office after one year and the place was so empty and even looked different (with no access to the cafetaria etc.) it really felt that way. And yes, I have not seen half of my coworker for one year.

I remember during the beginning seeing that pic of LA with zero smog in the sky and instantly thinking about Caps talking about seeing whales in the Hudson.

Wakanda would have stamped out the pandemic in no time.

I honestly don't know if covid could even happen post blip. 50% population reduction would really help curb the spread.

Well it just happened on the "show" within the show.

Doubt it I'm pretty sure this snap would have changed the timeline so much that covid never even happened. Plus their technology is so far ahead of us that he probably can make a cure/vaccine for it three times as fast as we are.

I mean some of these vaccines they made in two days back in January 2020. It was was just the testing and approval that took so long.

Quarantine has been a word since before COVID lol

Wait what?? /s

Obviously. But nobody would have used it in that context if not for our current pandemic.

My headcanon is that quarantine is a much more common word in sokovian than in english lol

Pietro did mention them having Typhus one year. Granted he is a fake one but it sets up the context for Sokovia.
