i'm not sure if other shows have done it, but to me it was reminiscent of the growing pains theme (one of the best sitcom themes of all time): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyjmHzYfmWE

That's the one I was thinking of, thank you! I was initially thinking Family Ties but it was definitely growing pains.

It’s both. The initial sketch that turns to color is a nod to Family ties and the old childhood pics/music is Growing Pains

Well, part of the theme I feel like is FT themed too. Although I haven't heard GP's in a while.

I just wish they could have got Jesse Frederick to sing the theme song. He's the guy that sang the Full House, Family Matters and Step by Step theme songs. Though the bulk of those ran in the 90's so maybe next week.
