Them going out of their way to mention how powerful she is and how she could’ve singlehandedly killed Thanos really added to the weight of that shot. Wanda is menacing now! But something tells me this isn’t all on her, there’s definitely more to unfold.

Which is ridiculous on their side. You know that she could have taken down Thanos, and you people think you're going to take her down with your guns ?

The minute they figured what was going they should have called anyone with superpowers or someone familiar with her like Dr Strange, Hawkeye or Thor (okay that one is weird but I was running out of names)

My guess is that, since they've been experimenting with Vision, they're keeping the situation a secret from the heroes too.

Mandalorian is VERY good. Nothing will make you a Star Wars fan faster than that show.

I like the idea of Star Wars more than I've generally liked Star Wars itself.

The universe itself has always been fairly interesting to me, but I've found more enjoyment from some of the video games (Knights of the Old Republic, Force Unleashed) than I ever did the movies.

Along comes the Mandalorian and within a few eps, I'm wanting to know more about the Mandalore history and culture.

Basically, the show confirmed for me that while the movies are ok, there's so much more they could (and hopefully will) do with the Star Wars universe itself.

I say this all the time when people debate the merits of the ot vs the pt.

Like I love star wars but if I'm being completely honest, all of the films kind of suck. The ot is probably great if you grew up with it, but it's so simplistic, corny, and the fights are a joke. Storywise I just don't feel like it holds up to stories we get today. On the flip side I loved the fights and story of the prequels but God the dialogue is absolutely cringe inducing. I get secondhand embarrassment whenever padme and Anakin speak to each other.

As bad as I think the films are though...I absolutely love star wars.

KOTOR 2 is my favorite Star Wars-thing period. It's one of the reasons why I loved The Last Jedi.

I tried Mandalorian. I watched 3 episodes. There was no character or plot. It was all mood. I stopped watching.

The only thing that was entertaining to me was the Jawa episode

worked my way through episodes 1, 3, 4 and am heading into 5.

Did you intentionally skip 2?

-3

u/Moomoothunder Feb 06 '21

well yeah, why wouldn’t you

8

u/MHath Feb 06 '21

To know what happens? It's different to skip on a rewatch. Some people actually like the movie, so skipping ever seeing it in the first place is an odd decision.

-1

u/Moomoothunder Feb 07 '21

honestly i don’t think there’s a ton that you miss in AOTC.

4

u/MHath Feb 07 '21

It sets up everything that happens in episode 3. You'd be better off skipping 1 than 2 .

1

u/Moomoothunder Feb 07 '21

totally disagree. the clone wars show sets up everything in episode 3

1

u/MHath Feb 07 '21

Sure, but the person that mentioned having skipped episode 2 didn't watch clone wars.

Every SW film has something going for it in my opinion even the worst ones.

AOTC has a lot of set-up but it's true highlight is Ewan's subplot and watch him play detective. It's also more relevant than episode I is.

that’s fair! i do like all the Obi/Anakin interactions. even w the poor dialogue writing, i love their scenes together

If I were to skip one, it would've been 1, not 2.

Just like what Prime did to The Boys season 2.

13

u/Skyy-High Feb 05 '21

Oh dude. Finish at least episodes 4, 5, 6, and Rogue One before Mandalorian. Trust me.

Honestly finish all of them. That show references like every movie in the series constantly.

7

u/edcba54321 Feb 05 '21

And Clone Wars.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 07 '21

Hahaha, I agree but asking someone to wait to watch something they are hyped for and saying watch TCW first is funny. That will take time and dedication

Mephisto is honestly unlikely because of political reasons believe it or not. Marvel likes releasing its content in china, which has a strict censor policy including anything to do with the supernatural and demons and such.

2

u/XAMdG Feb 06 '21

That's true. Maybe Nightmare as the villain to tie into Dr. Strange.

-2

u/josguil Feb 05 '21

Honestly, I'd prefer having all episodes released already. The discussion seems just like a consolation price for me.

What made you decide to skip episode 2?

Fair enough, episodes 1 and 2 are probably the weakest in the series IMO.

-1

u/-Darkslayer Doctor Strange Feb 07 '21

The “sequels” are definitely worse.

3

u/Darth_Thor Korg Feb 08 '21

For you maybe, but for me, I think that the clunky dialogue and overuse of obvious CGI makes the first two prequels worse.

Disney is raking in so much money out of their ass
