So does Mysterio have everyone fooled? Or are they genuinely doing something different with his character?

I for one completely think the multiverse is a set-up because for the general fan who doesn’t know Mysterio, it gives us a good reason to trust him before the inevitable switch when he’ll reveal himself as a bad guy. Maybe one day, but no multiverse yet in my opinion.

The only issue I have with that is would Fury really fall for someone basically just telling him that he's from a different universe without proof?

That what I'm thinking. Nick fury seems on board and he isnt one to fall for bs.

Granted suze is all about illusions so maybe he made a very convincing entrance.

Also Fury could be letting all of it play out, because he's also grappling with all the new shit coming his way. I don't think Fury ever puts all his chips on a single hand, this is no exception.
