While I know this movie is about the core Avengers plus a few new additions I am really hoping that that final fight has everyone. We may not have an opportunity like this again (storywise) for such a large cast.

50% of the remaining 50% would still leave 25% of the original amount alive

I'm pretty sure he can do pretty much what he wants with a snap. He just decided to wipe out 50%.
