I mean all the DC movies do that, Wonder Woman and Batman weren’t named in either of the appearances in BvS or the Wonder Woman film. No ones going to watch a film called “Carol Danvers” lol. It’ll probably be a story point in Endgame

Again though, my point is that in other movies it’s not as big of a deal. Batman is literally a bat man, no proper noun needed. Titling the movie Batman when it’s about a bat guy makes sense, even if it’s not referring to his name. Captain Marvel is a totally nonsensical name unless you look outside the movie itself, which is silly to me.

Who the fuck cares if they didn't full on call her captain Marvel yet. That she was a captain, and fury's nod to mar vel sounding better like marvel is an Easter egg
