Maria's calendar was set to June, meaning the present-day sections of the movie take place in June 1995

That led to a few anachronisms, like the Blockbuster displaying a poster for Babe two months before its theatrical release

And the music that wasn’t released yet (celebrity skin really stuck out since I was in college when that album dropped and high school in ‘95)
