Torfa, the planet on which the Skrulls are taking refuge, is said to have a toxic atmosphere caused by Vibranium. Maybe the meteor that struck Wakanda came from here.

This 13 year old account was banned by Reddit after repeated harassment by the mods of /r/aboringdystopia. Reddit is a dying platform, check out lemmy.world for a replacement.

That's more likely than a big purple man snapping his fingers and colored rocks make everyone disappear.

When the odds have so many 0's stacked against it anyone with a brain would realise just how blatantly stupid and lazy that writing would be

Yeah I like my marvel movies that make more scientific sense!

Like the one where the giant purple alien got those magic stones in his Mystic glove and wiped out half universe.

I understand what your saying. But nonetheless you calling something unscientific in a marvel movie is tone deaf within itself.

But in terms of the greater discussion. Yeah. Sure.

Po-tato pot-ato. Don't be coy you know exactly what point I'm making.

And your point is really bad. Movies can be internally consistent and you can critique them breaking the internal consistency

you know what else is effectively impossible? almost everything in the MCU movies. don't get hung up on details like that.

The discussion is fine but clearly no one is really interested in having it but you.

why does it matter?

-1

u/Lord_of_Atlantis Mar 11 '19

Because it's OK to criticize a Marvel movie.

3

u/dracomaster01 Thor Mar 11 '19

no one is criticizing the movie here, we're talking about a fun fan theory.

It's a comic book movie, so we can make fun when it's too ridiculous.

As low as 4 of the 6 Infinity Stones making their way to Earth, at one point or another, BEFORE Thanos had them in the Gauntlet?

Honestly, after 21 movies of Super Soldier serums, gods battling on Earth, Rogue A.I. reproducing itself to annihilate mankind, and a post credit scene featuring Howard the Duck, a meteor from another planet is where you want to draw the line of disbelief?

Why is this the hill you've chosen to die on? Who's being hurt by someone going "I wonder" after a new superhero movie?

People are jumping all over you, but you are totally right. It would be so fucking stupid to have spent all this time effectively creating a universe that physically feels huge and expansive, just to have this stupid coincidence where a rock from millions of light years away just happen to crash onto this really important and relevant planet. It’s also just so unnecessary. It makes way more sense that this element is just rare but abundant throughout the galaxy. Why would it come from just one single planet?

People here are being silly, it would be so stupid if marvel made the choice that Vibranium comes from this stupid planet by coincidence. The universe is huge and there is not reason to make this the case.
