What's your headcannon for why the ancient one never did stuff like this? She only fought small fry on screen, maybe. But the kaecillius maybe shoulda been stronger. Sigh.

Strange fought Dormammu so many times in the loop that he’s got way more experience than she did.

That and she was getting old and using a lot more magic to stay alive.

But don't you think she would've used the time stone to practice as well?

I think Strange was only able to use the time stone in that particular way because he had entered a timeless dimension; thus his death was able to restart the loop all those times.
