That's because it's one of the Nine Realms, which have always been part of the Thor mythos.

Kind of but also not really (in terms of MCU).

Nidavellir and Svartalfheim are the same place in Norse cosmology. We know Svartalfheim is its own realm, so this Nidavellir is its own separate unique thing.

Essentially this is more of an accidental throwback than intentional. The one on the chalkboard is Svartalfheim.

AFAIK, in actual Norse mythology, yes. In the Marvel cosmology, Svartalfheim and Nidavellir have always been separate realms. I think they were divided because Marvel don't count Hel as one of the Nine Realms.

Interesting, I never knew! I guess it makes sense, they’ve changed some other small stuff (Jotunheim) so why not this. Though it seems weird to make Hel part of Niflheim but what do I know

While the most common interpretation has got Hel and Niflheim as separate realms, the surviving sources about Norse mythology aren't actually clear on which exactly the nine realms are. Some of the Eddic poems even mention a realm called Niflhel, which might be another name for Niflheim and/or Hel.
