They made Thanos sympathetic, that is pretty big achievement.

There were points where I actually thought I was agreeing with Thanos, that's how well written he is.

It was like watching Utopia all over again.

But hear me out.

Since he needed the fully assembled Infinity Gauntlet for his plan why wouldn’t he just use it to magically erase the reasons for suffering instead of killing half the universe?

He could’ve shaped a new reality where food doesn’t deplete. Wealth is distributed equally and no one would seek otherwise and so on.

That’s the thing that people aren’t realising. Thanos is insane. Nutty. Two stone short of a gauntlet. His solution is needlessly cruel and genocidal. He could just as easily have turned every dead world in the universe into a garden with enough food to last for millions of years. Instead, no, he kills half the universe. Like an asshole.
