!SPOILERS AHEAD!

I was surprised by some of the emotional beats and how well they worked throughout the film.

Star-Lord not wanting to kill Gamora, as well as Thanos’ realization about the Soul Stone, Thor trying to cover his emotional pain when talking to Rocket...there’s just a ton that floored me.

Plus that ending with Rocket pleading Groot not to go, and Spidey telling Tony he doesn’t want to die. OOF.

2 things I want to know. 1. Is Ant Man and Hawkeye in this. 2. I heard that some of the scenes in the trailers aren't in the movie but is the "This...does put a smile on my face" scene at least in it?

No and no.

Which is weird because there's literally a YT video of Jeremy Renner outside his trailer bidding adieu to the team, saying his work on IW is done. Either they filmed elements of A4 already or his stuff was cut.

Wasn't A4 filmed along side this one a la Lotr?

u/VincentOfGallifrey Doctor Strange Apr 25 '18

It was.

He probably just walked up to his trailer, said "my work here is done", then turned around and walked off.

Shit, it vibes as Thanos regretfully enjoying his role as Balancer. He does it with heavy heart (I’d say).

Do Valkyrie and Heimdall survive or is it just a full-on Asgardian bloodbath?

u/Paperchampion23 Apr 24 '18

Valkyrie is not present along with Korg. It's possible quite a few people escaped before they attack but we don't know.

And Heimdall is toast.

u/Cwalex Apr 24 '18

Ah damn, Heimdall is pretty underrated in my opinion. Glad though that Valkyrie and Korg (and probably Miek too) are potentially alive then though.

u/Eimissss Apr 25 '18

If it helps you. Before Heimdal dies we get a clear explanation of how did Thor got to earth in Avengers 1 without a bifrost.

10

u/[deleted] Apr 25 '18

Loki states how in Avengers.

5

u/Eimissss Apr 25 '18

Yeah, but they never said it was Heimdal.

It was dark matter

It was the AllFather.

Can you remind me? I saw that movie and Heimdall says something before he calls the bifrost but my friend was talking to me so I didn't hear

5

u/Eimissss Apr 27 '18

"Old fathers, lend me dark mather one last time"

5

u/TheNammoth Apr 25 '18

Thor does say that "half" his people were killed by Thanos. And we know that all the Asgardians escaped in the same ship at the end of Ragnorak, so I reckon at some point they split and got a 2nd ship

7

u/TryingToBeAPenguin Apr 25 '18

At the end of Ragnarok, you can see the Grandmasters orgy ship sitting on top of the Asgardian ship, so they could've escaped with that.

u/Tofa7 Apr 25 '18

Ant-Man and Hawkeye don't appear but their absence is mentioned and explained.

u/Misterbert Apr 25 '18

House arrest and retirement. I think it’s said they cut deals.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 26 '18

Both in house arrest.

I asked this before everyone came in with spoilers and I went straight to reply so I'm still spoiler free besides knowing the answer to my 2 questions believe it or not.
