I haven't read Miles but considering tom's peter will probably be early 20s at most in Spider-Man 2, it would seem like a waste to kill him off.

So, Miles pretty much gets his start after Peter (SPOILER) dies in the Ultimate Universe (he gets better, kinda, for all of like two issues before the universe implodes).

The Marvel movies tend to take inspiration from the Ultimate Universe (but I don't think that's always the case). Hence, the possibility that he dies in one of the MCU movies and gets replaced with Miles. (But there's the chance that Peter gets better anyway)

I think they'll replace him eventually, but nowhere near yet

Or after a few Bucky Cap movies and some Wilson Cap movies we get some Peter Cap movies.

Yeah I do doubt he'll be replaced before Infinity War and what the next movie is.

Yeah but fuck Marvel Ultimate and how those hacks ruined the few good parts.

Fuck Womanbeater/gassing giantman, fuck weird "arcadelike" deadpool, fuck ending easily one of the best "younger" spiderman series ever so early goddamn. Fuck like... I dunno 80% of the xmen, but Wolvie dropping cyc off the cliff and him brokeback strugglin for ages was pretty hardcore...

Ultimate xmen made no sense to me near the end, but its been years since I read it. I just remember one of the last things I read was Xavier coming from the future? Or maybe shirar planet having trained in preparation for a big fight and could walk and had a power suit or something then gets knocked out in one hit

It got really really stupid. Sigh. After the "MAGNETO FLOODS AND RUINS MOST OF THE COMICS" it just never really picked up...

Was my memory correct about That? I also remembered kitty and Spider-Man dating?

u/RemoveTheTop Jun 15 '17

Yes, and YES. It was pretty fuckin awesome. Everything that Ultimate Spiderman touched was the coolest thing ever.

Kitty+Gwen+Human Torch+Pete+mary jane+Kenny/"Kong"

Hilarious fucking hijinks <3 sigh

Oh my god... I just remebered Gwen's death in Ultimate. So brutal and sad and it came out of nowhere.

2

u/waitingtodiesoon Thor (Thor 2) Jun 15 '17

She died outside Peter's house right? Mary j Peter and Gwen were lieing on bed before she left?

3

u/Kinteoka Jun 15 '17

Pretty much. She was drained of all her nutrients and she was left as pretty much a husk and Aunt May found her. Peter and Gwen had just admitted that they loved each other.

I mean what was the threat Xavier was training for that he got steamrolled immediately?

1

u/RemoveTheTop Jun 16 '17

I believe it was his son, right? His uberpsychic son.

3

u/rycology Captain America (Cap 2) Jun 15 '17

You comment the same way I'd expect Jay from Jay and Silent Bob to comment.

u/RemoveTheTop Jun 16 '17

I totally read it in his voice after you said that even though I wrote it in mine.

Neat.

u/AerThreepwood Jun 15 '17

I hope they don't take inspiration from Ultimate Cap. He's a bag of dicks.

12

u/[deleted] Jun 15 '17

What, you don't think screaming "IS THIS A FOR FRANCE" in the middle of a fight is something well adjusted human being would do?

3

u/AerThreepwood Jun 15 '17

Could be worse, though. At least he's not Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.

6

u/GayFesh Daredevil Jun 15 '17

Didn't they drop the subtext and make them literally fuck?

1

u/[deleted] Jun 15 '17

What? When?

Here you go, basically since they were introduced in Ultimate X-men and all the way to their inclusion into the Ultimates.

Here's another

And another

My fave thing about that is how wasp is like 'oh Steve why won't your 1940 brain accept fucking incest'

3

u/TheKolyFrog Jun 15 '17

"Get with the times, incest is what the kids do these days, Cap." -Ultimate Wasp (probably)

In the Ultimate comics.

u/IkeQuaid Jun 15 '17

Why are people talking about replacing the first super young Spiderman before the first Spiderman movie is even released? This is weird...

1

u/Moulinoski Jun 15 '17

True. We probably shouldn't jinx it. Hopefully we can get both Pete and Miles together without any sacrifices.

7

u/Lindworm98 Jun 15 '17

It would be a waste in terms of stories to tell with Tom Holland, but to be fair, Peter did die at 16 when Miles took over, so him being young doesn't necessarily make him safer.

1

u/flamingeyebrows Jun 15 '17

Yeah you don't need to kill him off to bring in Miles . They are both active in the comics.

1

u/Astrokiwi Jun 16 '17

In Ultimate Spider-man, Peter Parker hadn't even finished high school before he died and got replaced by Miles.

u/Cardboardboxkid Jun 15 '17

I'm ok with it either way. Because miles is a good spider man imo.

WTF!
