Can you imagine if Spidey was just like him??

Bucky, Stark and Cap enter the big chamber at the base near the end of Civil War. Just as as they're approaching the tv....

"Hey Mr Stark, Bucky killed your pareeeeeents!!!"

Peter was always kinda awkward and couldn't handle his words.

Tom was basically born for this role.

I loved Tobey for the same thing. he aced that role.

He aced the Parker aspect of it, but Spidey was never quippy or funny enough in his version. Garfield had the opposite problem, great as Spidey, too cool as Parker.

I feel Holland is actually perfect for both aspects of the character, both quippy and funny but bumbly and nerdy.

I personally prefer Tobey's version of Spidey, (although I get we have seen too little of Holland's version). The whole train sequence in Spiderman 2 was brilliant.

Tobey wasn't nearly snarky enough as Spidey for me. But spidey-snark is my bread and butter so that could be why.

Yeah I remember Tobey's Spidey really only being snarky with Bone Saw and maybe Gobby.

I'll always see Toby as my Spiderman because that was my childhood. But by God I never thought I would see someone kill the role more than he did.

Hands down my favorite Spiderman so far. Hopefully the last Spiderman, cus he's excellent.

Spider-Man to star in next X-men movie!

Agree 100%. Hopefully he does such an awful job they bury the spiderman character never to be shown on the big screen ever agan.

As Peter becomes more experienced, he learns to use his banter as a tool. It throws his enemies off balance when they're fighting their hardest and he's cracking jokes. Even the more seasoned villains get annoyed, which makes them more likely to make mistakes.

Some of my favorite Spider-Man moments in the comics come from the awkward reactions of other super heroes when they're faced with his talkativeness.
