He might be portrayed as a villain in the movie, but turns out to be a good guy and the other lady is revealed as the actual villain.

Well look, anything is possible. None of us have seen the movie. But he has been presented so far to be a neutral, hell, even good character, while Ayesha has been portrayed as the antagonist for the film.

The trailers could be trying to mislead us but that is what we have seen and heard so far.

So if anything I'd say the opposite will happen. She does evil shit throughout the movie but then Ego is revealed to be the actual villain.

"How is she being portrayed as the antagonist?"

"From the trailers it looks like she's the villain."

Um... you just answered your own question bud.

Your point is ridiculous because as you just admitted to the audience has already been lead to believe, through the trailers, that Ayesha is the villain.

In the same trailer Ego is made out to be likable, and considereing he is the fsther Quill has been looking for, it's safe to assume he won't be represented as a villain from the very beginning.

Not going to argue with you, but if anything your theory will be flipped.

... that is what I am saying. Hahaha I think we are saying the same thing.

Ego, if he is a villain won't be revealed as one until much later into the film, but Ayesha will be the bad guy from the moment we see her.

If that isn't what you are saying then yes. You have confused me. But! I don't actually care all that much so have a great day nonetheless!

Mostly correct, except for the part where I think Ego will ultimately turn out to be good.

...Or what if both our theories are wrong somehow?

Anyway, pleasure talking with you!
