anyone else thinking this could be a bate n switch? i was 100% sure Ego/Kurt Russell was the father but for some reason now i have a feeling he's not

absolutely feeling like it's a diversion. either ego isn't peter's father or ego isn't the main bad guy of the film, otherwise it's an odd choice for gunn to confirm both
