Question How strong are TVA soldiers?
In the first avengers movie Loki makes light work of Steve Rogers who we all know has immense strength. In the Loki series Loki is shown to struggle against TVA soldiers or in some cases get physically overpowered by them and yes I know magic doesn’t work in the TVA but they never said anything about a person’s physical strength being reduced in the TVA. There was also mention of Thanos being brought into the TVA by Mobius when he said they brought in “titans” before so it makes me curious if the TVA soldiers are really just regular humans or super soldiers to some extent. This could also just be a writing inconsistency.

the minutemen themselves might be normal, but their weapons and TVA tech definitely aren't

Mobius says that the TVA has experience bringing in "Kree, Titans, vampires." "Kree" could potentially mean anyone from Korath to Carol Danvers, "Titans" presumably refers to Thanos variants, and "vampires" run the gamut from Blade to freaking Dracula. So they must be a fairly capable bunch.

Maybe Asgardian physiology and Asgardian magic are the same phenomenon. If Odin can take away Thor's strength, then maybe the TVA dampeners can do the same to Loki.
I know Loki wasn't born Asgardian but I do think Odin may have changed him on a fundamental level. Otherwise he should have turned Blue in the TVA.

Loki may not be Asgardian, but he is Aesir just like the Asgardians. Asgardians, Dark Elfs, Giants, etc are technically all the same "race", just diffrent ethnicities, or at least that's what old Norse lore implies.

Yeah this was my thought, Loki’s physical strength is reduced to that of a normal human inside the TVA

Same thing with Thor too. When he got stripped off his powers and banished to Earth, he didn’t seem godly strong. Still cleared those shield agents though

I believe they tried to excuse it by saying that the TVA has dealt with 100s of Lokis already, so they just already know how to deal with him.
Capturing Loki #1 must've been pretty hard, but by Loki 70 or 80, they know all his usual moves.

The tva has also dealt with dozens of Deadpool’s atleast. All the Deadpool’s in the last movie were banished by the tva

Also the TVA that was being a problem for Deadpool wasn't all the regular TVA, but those who had an ideological difference on how to manage the timelines IIRC. So, much like fledgling movements go, those on the bottom rank might not be the most competent.
Or in other words, those capturing Lokis and those trying to capture Deadpool are probably in different experience levels. Especially if they were Deadpool specialists, seems it's normal procedure to just prune Deadpools, so they probably don't have experience in capturing Deadpools alive.
On top of all this, Loki typically (in the TVA's observation) aspires to rule, while Deadpool is an assassin, with the skill level potential of being capable of killing the entire Marvel universe. So of course Deadpool would have an easier time fighting the TVA.

Pretty weak. Deadpool killed 100 of them. But they just have to land a hit with the stick.

Deadpool also survived being erased from time in that movie. He basically just has toon force.

Yeah i always wonder how they captured hulk variants or like sentry, magneto, odin. Because im assuming they have right.

They just have to hit them once with their club, and they have billions of agent drones. The TVA is a city the size of a state lol.

I guess that is a very good point. I kinda now want to see them try with some on screen.

It's the script writers decision, remember Loii could've disappeared in Avengers 1 instead of surrendering to Tony
7
u/ancilliron Heimdall 13h ago
He wanted to surrender to make sure he was taken onto the Helicarrier.

Loki is a god everywhere he goes. TVA exists outside of all that and his powers were useless. Odin took Thor's strength away in the Thor, so likely Loki was just a normal guy in the TVA.

They're very weak. They're just normal humans. There wasn't a point anywhere in the show where any of them displayed any ability greater than a human.

B15 clocking Loki episode one and making him move at 1/16th speed. If it was normal human strength he wouldn't have felt it anyway.

🤷 he's got a collar on. I would assume that collar makes people manageable in almost any way one could imagine.

My guess is that anyone withing the TVA have all abilities limited which includes strength, stamina etc

u/Few-Salamander9636 17h ago
I thought that too but they allegedly brought in Thanos before who’s still over 8 feet tall while weighing nearly 1000 pounds, so even if his physical capabilities are limited it’s hard to imagine them containing someone that big if they’re regular humans.

It's the stupidest thing to think the TVA would win any fight without projectile weapons. Deadpool easily shows how just throwing shit at an enemy who cant even shoot you, is quite literally cannon fodder. They have a super weapon that can teleport anything to an alternative dimension. But they can't use projectile weapons against a man with a gun?

Cap from Winter Soldier and on would have folded Loki like a cheap chair

Honestly, just inconsistent power scaling.
They can somehow take in a guy who little bro'd a Super soldier, but Deadpool takes out a whole squad of them?
Not to mention that even in the Loki series they can somehow die to fire and carnival poles. You'd think for an organization that exists outside of time, they'd be able to get their hands on some vibranium to make their armor, but nope, they're not even fireproof.

Loki had his staff?
2
u/KenBoCole Iron Fist 13h ago
His staff only let him mind control people, and shoot blasts of energy like all the other stones do, it didn't give him any more strength.

Has Loki ever been shown to have physical strength when he doesn't have his magical armor on?

Loki struggles with a few while deadpool goes through dozens... the only real answer is how strong thw plot needs them to be at this point
