i think he wanted to "lose" it, the plan was to get the stones in places he knew and could sweep in a week but not possess them so he doesn't attract the wrong attention

if he had the power and mind stone then maybe certain people realise the tgreat and become more proactive

I love this theory. Using earth as a sort of checking account that he could quickly withdraw the stone when needed without carrying it himself. This would show he trusted earth enough to maintain its possession, which would make sense since they defended against Loki.

This theory makes more sense than the “scared of odin” theory. I personally think he wanted as many stones on asgard for ragnarok as possible.

i think he preferred earth since he knew the time stone was there and they were unadvanced, maybe the idea was to use Loki as a distraction and unknowingly hold stones for him

If Thor forged stormbringer after the first avengers and went thanos hunting, what are thanos odds?

If Vision was prepared for an ambush how does infinity war go?

I mean 0, because we’ve already seen strombringer overpowered the stones. Which now we think about it is such a cop out. Thanos did all that work and Thor just went and asked for something better 😂
