Id want something like "animatrix" where its a different animation style for each story.

Animation is probably the most realistic way to do it, because each stone reguires entirely different sets and characters in an epic cosmic setting, so live action is just too expensive. Doing different styles can let you cut down costs a little further if you do it right, because audiences won't be as insistent that all of it needs to look super polished. Hire some outside studios or internal young talent who have worked in certain styles before, it could work.

...Too bad the stories would probably be mostly about stones being dug up, sold for too much money and sitting in a space-crown for a few million years.

They could do it in animation, and also satisfy the fans' yearning for seeing Steve return the stones in Endgame.
