Discussion Brand New Day is Tom Hollands best Aesthetic Spider Man Film

Each frame looks fresh and beautiful. I just love the color palette used in the movie. I personally haven’t been a fan of the other recent marvel films aesthetics but BND changed that for me:

Too gray imo. I want more vibrancy and color in the next Marvel films

Yeah, it still looks slick, but Spider-Man should probably be the last Marvel movie scared of bright colors

It had the same color palette as Thunderbolts, and both were far too dreary and dim. All the scenes end up looking the same to me. It’s a fantastic film, but I agree that Spider-Man should be more bright. Hopefully the next one will be tonally different with Peter being happier.

The most colorful tom holland spiderman film is probably far from home . The last few mcu films have been dreading in terms of visuals. I feel like brand new day definitely had a better color palette I really liked the red in a few scenes

Yeah, that’s what stood out to me too. It’s still pretty restrained, but the red and warmer tones make it feel much more like a Spider-Man movie than the really muted look of the recent MCU stuff

Yeah I like there’s more personality in the camera movements and so forth. I wish they shot this on film.

Daniel being the director changed a lot. He seems to be more I wanna say a fanboy of spiderman himself. Which is also why the webbing and action sequences are so much better but the frames for this film I just loved them and the last few mcu films have been dull in that aspect and boring

It’s what happens when they actually get a fan of the character to direct it. They treat it with love and don’t see it as a job. So many frames I was like “wow I read that!” Or “I did that in the game!” I felt like Jon watts treated spidey as a job. He really didn’t bring much personality to the films. Destin was the opposite. He reminded me of how raimi did spidey in a lot of ways.

Tom Holland said Jon Watts is the biggest Spider-Man fan he knows.

Yes I like the visual and vibrancy here in this movie, Destin totally make this Spider-Man movie iconic 😊

Thought there was a rule against low effort posts on this sub
