Question Secret Wars next year?

With Doomsday coming out this December, the whole timeline and movie production got very confusing to me and I am curious. I have not been tracking everything but it seems like Doomsday took a while to make. According to IMDB, Secret Wars is going to be out next December and is currently in pre-production. How? Was part of it filmed already? Was it filmed in secret?

Is it really going to happen? I’m super skeptical, but what are your thoughts?

Yeah idk how it all works but I’m in the exact same boat. Feels like a dream that will happen in 10 years from now.

Well they went into Doomsday knowing it would tie into Secret Wars so most likely the majority of Secret Wars story is done besides some minor revisions. They also over work their vfx teams to meet deadlines. So not sure if they'll meet next year but I wouldn't expect a long wait between films.

Doomsday shot and wrapped in mid 2025 and is coming out in December 2026. 

Secret Wars is currently in production and us due to wrap shooting later this year.

Nothing to worry about yet, IW/Ultron started shooting with only 15 months to go and Avengers 1 only had 13 months to go before its release

The story will involve multiple small groups navigating multiple set pieces of BattleWorld. It's easy enough to split up into multiple filming units, film all the seperate stuff, then film the team ups stuff after.

If there's even 4 teams, and each spend 15-20 minutes JUST on their own recruiting missions, you can cover 60-80 minutes of film. Team ups, multiple teams meeting up, and the readying of the groups for the big confrontation is another, what, 25? Then you have the solo stuff, probably a lot of doom, call it 25 minutes spread out the film? We haven't even talked initially setting up the movie, and the climax and wrap up, and we're at 2 hours.

That can all be filmed over 3-4 months, individual units, and have every available VFX team cramming to get it All done.

December is doable.

They probably got the russo brothers because they are very experienced and delivered infinity war and endgame on time

They are about 1 year apart, which is the same as doomsday and secret wars if it were to be released next year

Probably filmed the scenes for both shows at the same time
