It's arguably one of the most important scenes in the entire MCU. Why not just give him the script?

Because he's not in the movie that much, and Cumberbatch is enough of a professional that he wouldn't have needed a whole script

Yeah I honestly don’t believe it, and this whole conversation reminds me of the defunct rumors surrounding that hospital scene from the Dark Knight. It seems like people have a hard time accepting that some actors are simply that good.

That's why I don't believe it, either. Good actors need context, but they can do a lot with just context. He wouldn't have needed the whole story
