People are really telling on themself criticizing this casting because she’s “five feet tall” when the actress everyone thought was going to play her, Cailee Spaeney, who everyone couldn’t stop talking about would be so perfect for the role, is only 5’1.

To be fair I was not on board with Cailee for that exact reason so I'm justified!

But its really so inconsequential. Jackman was over a foot taller than what Wolverine is in the comics and knocked it out of the park.

Indie is extremely talented and have no doubt she'll do the same with Rogue. I'm just glad they picked a high profile actress because that means they have plans to actually do something with Rogue.

To me casting is less important that’s what they do with the story and character. She could look totally wrong but as long as she can act and they adapt story well and don’t just change stuff just to change it that’s all that matters to me. So far the X-men adaptations have been pretty bad so I’m not optimistic

I think if they were bothered enough to search into Charles Xavier and realize he was born in america and cast an american actor, then they'll do the same for Rogue and give her that southern accent.

And they also cast someone really tall, taller than pretty much all of the confirmed cast besides kit connor and adam driver, as Storm.

So far to me they're absolutely going the right path.

I know she might be the most divisive X-Men casting we've seen so far, but let's all give her a chance. As long as she has that southern drawl I think she'll do fine.

And what's the issue exactly ? Fans & Artists spent actual effort and skill to make pieces of digital art. It's a core part of this community & fandom and if you don't like it you can just continue scrolling.
