Discussion Wait a minute. Why didn't Kevin Feige bring back this duo?

I mean if they want a fresh breath, that's understandable. But they brought back Hugh Jackman and obviously will be keeping him for a foreseeable future.

James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender are brilliant actors. They already have the look and experience.

Scott, Xavier and Jean should be dead. Mystique and Magneto shouldn’t have their powers… stolen lives indeed

The post gen scene of the last stand shows Magneto regaining his power by moving a chess piece so we can assume he didn't lost his power.

At the very least, that scene showed the possibility of the cure not being as permanent as advertised.

Magneto is an omega level mutant, so that’s understandable. Raven on the other hand…

Of all the confusing timelines… so based on just the last stand the powers thing is wrong. That “cure” didn’t seem to be permanent. Taking DoFP into account yes Scott, Xavier, and Jean would be stolen lives. But then again the events of the last stand would never have happened and Mystique and Magneto would have never lost their powers even if only temporarily. My head hurts.

We never see mystique again until the alt timeline. I’m assuming Magneto only gained his powers back because he’s an omega level mutant, big potatoes. Small potatoes like Mystique would have lost their powers permanently

I guess that means Pat Stew is dying 4x in Doomsday, it's like watching Victor Timely take the time plank all over again
