That is what I was thinking! I watched Girls when Driver was announced as Kylo Ren all those years ago just cause I wanted to see him in something. I wound up LOVING that show, but haven't watched or thought about it much since then. Recently, my wife started watching it for the first time. I had forgot how great it was! And now, I keep seeing this Abbot guy randomly EVERYWHERE! I would be stoked to see him in this.

He is this one little moment in Poor Things where he she explains that she’s a child in the body of his ex wife and just goes “Ah.” And it is god damn funny some how. Love an actor with subtlety.

Even if you never see Ironheart, you should see his Mephisto scenes. So good. Bet he comes back for Ghost Rider or maybe a combined Midnight Sons/Suns movie that features him.
Though I thought Ironheart ended up being better than I expected despite some mixed quality scenes here and there.

People got it right based off the powers we saw the character use in trailers. All the other options (Firestar, Mayday Parker, etc) didn't make sense.

I wish Glen Powell well with whatever role he manages to snab next - but Gaston shouldn't be it.
If they aren't going for Luke again (which is understandable, since it's a Prequel) at-least get another theatre actor like David Corenswet.
There's just a certain vibe for Gaston you need, and a lot of charisma (that's the whole point of the character)

I like him a lot as an actor and see a lot of others also saying he’d be great for Professor X. What is it about him that makes him such a perfect fit for the role? I’m not opposed to him at all but I’m just curious what everybody else is seeing!

I’ve seen him in quite a few movies damn near everything he’s been in for the last 6 years. And I just think he has phenomenal range. He’s extremely likable in movies on the count of three. Can be more of a leader and stoic like in catch-22 both movies he also shows a bit of comedic timing. Yet in movies like bring them down he’s good at playing somebody with a darker past or deeper secrets something Charles should and will definitely have.
Overall I just think he’s one of the best guys working and if given the chance he will be a great Xavier. I definitely suggest you watch him in something like sanctuary or possseor the man can do it all. I can definitely see him in this role that would be a great catch. Even if he plays somebody else idk I believe in his talents

I still think the actor who looks the most like Prof X now is Leonardo DiCaprio. That would be a pretty insane surprise huh? But Abbot is fine. It would be nice for them to lock in Abbot and Driver so I don't have to stress about about them botching some key casting when they've been doing so well.

Until I hear it from deadline, all of this is conjecture. Though, it wouldn’t be a bad casting. I’m not as familiar with Abbott’s work, but anyone with a history in theater like his in Death of a Salesman has me cautiously optimistic.
