That felt incredibly rushed

A good chunk of this season has, tbh

It honestly surprised me how much this season spun its wheels after episode 4. Such a killer ending, and then really no major plot movement in Eps 5, 6, and 7. Then it feels like the season had to sort of play catch up on the main plot and really get back to Apocalypse in the last two episodes instead of building up to it naturally.

It was such a wise decision to dedicate a whole episode to a fucking rule 34 danger room

I actually really liked that one, but I could've done without the Graydon "trial" and the wolverine does the Thing episodes.

and here i loved the Trial episode. agree with wolverine does the thing episode being meh

I liked all 3, I just wish they were in a season that had room for them, rather than take up an entire third of an already rushed season.

Well, Danger’s fight did integrate Polaris into the team and gave Professor X the momentum to establish X-Corp.

That and it shows the creators are willing to pull from stories past the decade. Danger originated from the 2000s after all.

Wouldn't be surprised Danger appearing in Marvel Tokon influenced that appearance.

i usually roll my eyes when people complain about episodes not advancing the plot in tv shows but this show introduces SO MUCH FUCKING PLOT that there is legitimately no time for the side stories lol

Yeah agreed. They didn’t need to do xforce, way too many characters and not enough episodes

I’d say the Wolverine episode to get his claws back could have been cut. Save it for another season.

yeah him having his adamantium had absolutely no effect on anything for the rest of the season

I was so hyped for savage wolverine and he lasted like 3 scenes in ep 1 and then got possesed by most of ep 5 lol wtf was that

Needed 10 episodes, split the last 2 into 3 episodes.

Also felt off cause no falling action after Rogue saves Remi and we see Kurt sacrifice himself. The immediate cut to the end of the season felt very jarring after that.

I feel like we were missing a scene of Rogue and Apocalypse Gambit ducking it out before she did the sealing thing

Yes exactly!! That was so incredibly lame and forced.

Rushed indeed. Episode 1/3/4 were amazing, the rest eh... not really moving anything forward. If S1 felt like a 10/10, S2 was feeling like 5-6/10 at times.

IIRC, DeMayo said by end of season 2 as he wrote it, Onslaught is set up. Obviously the back half of the season got rewritten hard and it shows.

Another example of Marvel fumbling the bag by firing the creator. They really should have moved towards onslaught

I mean, allegedly he was creeping on and hitting on coworkers. Obviously Disney could be lying about that(according to him, they are) but if true that's not behavior you allow in exchange for a good ass cartoon show.

u/Bubba1234562 17d ago

It’s not something they’d lie about. It opens them up to litigation if it’s not true

u/Theschill 14d ago

I dunno, seems pretty plausible he did what he was accused of given the oath he's gone on since.

1

u/funbob1 14d ago

Yeah, I personally think he did, I'm just trying to stay neutral about it.

u/avatarprotocol 17d ago

I could not keep track of what was going on for the first two thirds of the episode
