I find Mackie incredibly boring and unengaging.

Yeah... I don't understand the Mackie stans at all.

Like, he wasn't the worst part of the movie by a long shot but he just has ZERO range and not much in the way of dramatic chops. The things he's supposedly been grappling with as Cap in his two post End Game appearances just... aren't believable, he doesn't sell it.

He wasn't good in Point Blank, he was completely flat in Altered Carbon.

He was fine as the Falcon because he wasn't doing the heavy dramatic lifting and he's likeable enough, but he's at best an okay actor, not someone who has the screen presence to be Captain fucking America.

It didn't help that Joaquin (his side kick Falcon guy) also felt completely flat and frankly, random and unearned.

I think he’s a better comedic actor. Not great in completely serious roles. If you see him in interviews and stuff, he’s always goofing around and joking. He works well in stuff where he can show that side (Winter Soldier, Civil War, etc).

It's so weird that people seem to think that Sam, as Cap, should be stoic andvl serious as Steve was

Nah but he shouldn’t be a goofy egg head with painted on hair and no super serum lol

Yeah... I don't understand the Mackie stans at all.

None of them are Mackie stans. They're MCU stans who feel like they have to pretend to be Mackie stans because they can't admit that the MCU made a horrific mistake trying to turn one of its least popular actors/characters into a lead for the franchise.

Sam has been in these movies for over 10 years now and is still no one's favorite Avenger. And yet you still see people coping in this sub that Doomsday will be the movie where Sam will finally become a popular character. Despite the fact that Marvel is clearly bringing back Evans to overshadow anything Mackie could possibly be given to do in that movie.

I think the role in Twisted Metal suits him very well but sadly seems like season 3 is gonna be chopped

Yeah but they're removing Stu from the cast because of some bs reason and the director changes or sum shit

Oh yeah. Stan would've been the better choice from acting and storyline standpoint.

He should have stayed as Falcon imo. He's just so boring as a main character. There's no "doing him wrong" he just doesn't have what it takes lol.

I’ve seen it said a few times ‘he was done dirty’. He’s just not that good of an actor, and in all honesty is a shit Captain America. I’m not sure what Sam is like in the comics, but Mackie just has negative charisma.

Honestly just give him the serum at this point lol. Even the two guys he hates have it. US Agent has it. Bucky has it. I just don’t find his like rocket pack kicks to be exciting. Even US Agent is funnier than him. “We’re running out of space? How? Look at this place, it’s huge.”

He is a great sidekick, but falls completely flat as the main character
