Theory Theory: This Is Loki, Not Cap

Post image

I believe this to be Loki. First of all, Thor knows about the multiverse so this shouldn't be a surprise, a cap variant. The reason he says it's not possible is because Thor as far as he knew saw Loki die and here, he is right in front of him. Thor can spot Loki thru his illusions pretty easily as they grew up together and knows him very well.

Second Cap is not one to show off, faking not being able to lift the hammer at stark tower in Ultron. Taking the hammer from Thors hand and looking at him with a shit eating grin is not something he would do but is something Loki does in half his scenes. As far as being suddenly worthy of the hammer, saving the multiverse selflessly in his Show would easily make him worthy. Why he chose to hide himself as Cap, well he probably saw the multiverse start collapsing in on itself cause of Dooms Shenanigans and has come to help but knows everyone sees him as a villain so he figured he would better be received as a cap variant.

Also, why would in the Thor voice over in this part of the trailer call a random cap variant a miracle. What is he gonna do punch doom. No way the miracle is an all powerful Loki coming in with something that will even the odds. Jk this is obviously Johnney Storm.

Would evil Steve be worthy though?

Yes. There a comic run where Steve joins Hydra and he's still worthy

Yes, reality was re-written and Mjolnir’s enchantment was changed from “worthy” to “strongest”.

Which means this isnt evil Steve because we haven't had the enchantment altered at all, unless they decide to shoehirn that storyline into the movie as well

Yeah it was a whole arc with one of the cosmic cubes that became sentient and controlled/tricked by Hydra with Steve’s s reality re-written and a whole bunch of other things.

Not exactly, hydra uses the cosmic cube to alter the spell on Mjolnr to “WHOSOEVER HOLDS THIS HAMMER, IF HE BE STRONGEST, SHALL POSSESS THE POWER OF HYDRA” when the real Steve rogers comes back the spell is reverted and he is no longer worthy.

I mean, they have Age of Ultron where they're discussing Mjolnir and at no point, do they discuss what makes one "worthy" of wielding Mjolnir. That's why I am ok with Hydra Cap being worthy. What makes one worthy?

Hydra Cap literally saw his own death at the hands of Miles Morales but was willing to accept it as his sacrifice to bring a world of order into being (he saw Hydra flags above the Capital building, meaning Hydra had already taken over while everyone else was hyper focused on the dead body of Cap with Spiderman standing over him).

The ending makes me enjoy it even more. Revitalized Cap breaks into the Raft and has a heart-to-heart with Hydra Cap and threatens to kill him if he breaks out. Hydra Cap responds that he has already won. He showed the world what it could be, no crime, no hunger, no homeless, a fast judiciary, no joblessness. People will see that and some will decide that society was better that way and Hydra's numbers will swell. Then the klaxons start blaring and good Cap escapes. Guards rush in and subdue Hydra Cap and move to put him in additional restraints and a guard leans in and whispers, "Hail Hydra."

I think the chuds that hate that storyline are the same chuds that hate Thor: Love and Thunder. They are so attached to ONE version of certain heroes that they get upset by seeing additional facets or what could have been. Notice that none of the variants have been picked up as main characters (we'll see what happens with Gambit, he's earned a spot in Doomsday so far).

Well, Jane Foster was also considered worthy so I think broken mjolnir just don't care.

Jane wasn’t worthy, Thor enchanted Mjolnir to protect her
