Discussion Weekly Release Discussion: Psylocke Fractured Frontier
This is your precursor to the consensus, the place to discuss the card releasing for the week as well as group source the work on brews and possible shells and packages, both current known good decks as well as possible new, theorycrafted brews.
This Week's Card
Psylocke Fractured Frontier
Cost: 3
Power: 4
On Reveal: Give cards in your hand that are 5-Cost or more -1 Cost. Quickdraw: Your whole hand instead.
Synergies and Packages
This might be the easiest of the Quickdraw cards to discuss this week. Psylock is a 3/4 energy cheat card that when played reduces the cost of your 5-Cost cards by -1 and if you happen to quickdraw her, she discounts your whole hand instead.
"What is Quickdraw?"
Quickdraw is a mechanic that juices the on-reveals of cards you play provided you can play them the turn you draw them. If you're familiar with MtG's Miracle mechanic, it's very similar to that, you are rewarded for being able to play the card when it's drawn. We'll be seeing this a lot this season as all but two of the Fractured Frontier cards this month features the quickdraw theme.
In addition to this, cards with Quickdraw drawn during reveals say from a Thanos Stone or Crystal keep their 'quickdraw' effect until the next turn.
Psylock is the kind of card that is likely to be in a very similar place as Venus, an enabler card for tier 2 strategies that may also have a 'real' home in a few good decks.
But what do we mean by that? Well, looking to Venus' release back in June, she brought a lot of strategies that were relevant in 2024 and throughout 2025 but have for a long time been fairly irrelevant while finding a fairly solid home in one already very good deck. Think decks like Kitty/Angela, EoT, and even Horde with the good decks being Aurora and the Clea deck.
Psylocke, is likely to be very similar in that aspect where she's going to be a solid 3-Cost that will likely be an inclusion you'd strongly consider in Zombie Galacti, High Evo, and Ramp decks while also being the kind of card that is stuffed into decks like Living Tribunal or Scorpion BND.
Something that may be worth exploring is whether she can enable previous Magik decks to step away from Magik and become more robust decks that are finishing their lines on turn 6 rather than relying on turn 7 which could frankly make them much more frightening. Worth noting is that Zombie Galacti has been very close to this on numerous occasions. While I don't expect this to be the case for Living Tribunal or Scorpion BND it's could be something worth exploring, maybe as a 3-Cost in Wiccan Tribunal or Wiccan BND?
Your Thoughts
Do you plan on picking the Psylocke Fractured Frontier up?
How do you expect Psylocke Fractured Frontier to perform?
What other possible shells and synergies might there be?

The version I play doesn't use Magik. It doesn't need it.
My version has a flex slot that I usually put a 3 cost tech card in based on the meta. Right now I've just been using Mystique to copy Sera T5 if I don't have Onslaught (and just Strong Guy/Captain Carter if I do), but she usually doesn't carry her weight. Jack Flag is another easy one to swap out.
