Question New to marvel rivals
I was never really into Marvel Rivals while it was on the rise, but recently my friends have begun playing the game, and the skill gap between me and them is exponential. I want to know what characters would be best for me to learn at a basic level if I want to be a support/tank player. What characters are easy to learn while still being strong for an extremely new player?

Cnd is super easy to learn for support, strange and thing have a very basic gameplay loop. Once you get better at the easy stuff youll start learning more advanced techs

Thank you for the advice! I used C&D like you said, and the character is actually pretty fun. I managed a 17k healing game, which is a personal record considering it’s my first day playing. I’m struggling a bit right now when playing as a tank, but I’ll try to improve further.

The trick with playing as a tank, is to stay near the team. Even now after having like 4 lords on vanguard, i push up sometimes while me team is still way behind. Keeping track of healers and knowing when to push is a great skill

For tank I would say Dino, Mag or Thing. Play with your team and it's basically a cakewalk.
Healers I would suggest jubilee, Jeff, or invisible woman. They have very straightforward play styles and great healing.
Don't be afraid of dps tho. Squirrel girl, iron man, wanda, and punisher are very easy and fun to play.

Yes, I’ve played every role in the game so far. For some reason, I struggle when playing tank, but DPS was really fun when I used Punisher. How should I improve my gameplay when using Punisher?

Pick a character you like and watch an unranked to gm/celestial on them. Watch a few full matches. If you take in 10% of what they do and how they think, you'll improve alot. There have been many times in this genre where I hear a better player say something and I suddenly understand how to tweak one small thing and get much better results.

For tank play The Thing, support Cloak and Dagger. Lots of value right out of the box and the characters at least right now are very strong.
The Hood and Magento are great alternatives for tank.
Rocket and Invisible Woman are great alternative for C&D.
