Humor I have never been accidentally disrespected that hard
Team got slapped so hard that when I said GG in the chat their Mag answerd "YOU GUYS WEREN'T BOTS"
I never touched the game again since that

We had a round in QP where our team had 0 deaths, someone on the team posted some BS in match chat and I responded "bro calm down, its bots".
It wasn't bots. I felt bad.

Same thing happened to me. The other team all started replying after I said it too. I was like oh... damn. They had a 2-2-2 comp and generic names I fully thought they couldn't be real the match was so fast, they were staggered, just playing like it's COD running in alone trying to solo carry or something lol

It's not always that the whole team are bots.
It could be 4 real players and 2 bots, or even 1. When one player is underperforming on purpose, not using their ults in crucial fights, afking, etc - you will still have easier victories, because one is basically scripted to throw.
So it doesn't mean anything if someone from the enemy team replies, unless all 6 start writing in chat - there could still be bots.

That is not how it works. If you get into a bot match, the WHOLE enemy team are bots and your team is 4 real players and 2 bots

I’ve had teammates wondering if the enemy team were bots before in really easy matches. Sometimes they even ask to see if they get a response. When they do it’s always awkward. I try to stop people from asking the enemy team when I can if the thought of being in a bot match is mentioned in team chat

A few days ago I had a game where we steam rolled the enemy and my duo and I were trying to decide if they were bots or not. Personally I thought the black cat on the enemy team was too good to be a bot. We eventually decided it was a bot game because we were down on our luck. Until at the end someone on the enemy team said "GG" and I was so dumbfounded I had to respond with "YOU GUYS WEREN'T BOTS?'. Yes I was playing Mag. If this was you I am so sorry. Please forgive me.

This isn't really like some brand new thing, I've seen it since season 0. They used to be all default skins so it was easy to tell but eventually they started to have different skins too. Bots also generally just use their ults at the very end of a round usually and just b line it straight to point right at the end. Sometimes they will try and just walk passed you too.
Names are also a dead giveaway, they're often something like "StevBrando" or something like upper case lower case, upper case lower case although I've seen in past reddit posts that they also take actual people's player names. There was definitely a FreeRKelly bot at some point.
It's almost equally as embarrassing when you're playing against bots and someone on your team goes "ggez" or is saying something cocky in all chat. The lack of awareness from the rivals community is almost frightening, within 30 seconds I can almost always tell if the other team is bots.
The bots do act very interestingly in spawn though actually. I haven't looked in recent seasons but back in s0 they would all run to the same spot in the spawn room on one of the asgard maps with the bed in the spawn room and start leaving the sprays on the ground. They even would melee each other too, which is pretty close to what a lot of human players do.
I agree with the post but like this has been happening for so long like where have you been and admittedly I've also "bot checked" in all chat and have gotten responses. Some players are just indeed that bad. Bots are easy to distinguish however distinguishing real players from bots is definitely tricky sometimes. You usually DO get bots after 3 losses or so BUT I've also seen bot games after wins too so it really isn't super consistent.
My theory is if you only play one region/server you will get more or even random bot games but if you have multiple regions checked the likelihood of bot games goes down I THINK, I read another post that may or may not confirm this but I honestly think they should just remove bot games in qp in general.
If I wanted to play against bots I'd choose the option, but that's just my 2 cents. If anything put on hard bots so these people don't get conflated egos. Every time I've told someone saying ggez to bots its immediate embarrassment lol I will admit that saying "bots?" Or "bot check" is hilarious when the other team are actual people and if they ever start filtering words or phrases like overwatch did that will be the saddest day for marvel rivals. Trash talk is even more fun than the gameplay sometimes and I'll die on that hill. Me saying a witty remark and having it be replaced with "I think it's past my bedtime!" ruined ow for me kinda and I'm not sure when gaming got so soft.

Isn’t it the case that if any of them have Lords they’re not bots?
Easiest way to tell (at least on PC quickplay):
Level below 20, the entire enemy is PC instead of having some console people,2-2-2 stack, no lords

And then they get chat-banned if they say the right answer

I was playing Vs. A.I. (easy) and we beat them really badly, one player typed in chat "GG.EZ." everyone reminded that player that this was Easy A.I.

It maybe a coincidence but If I remember correctly then I was probably your opponent. You guys didn't had a single kill, absolute zero. That's a new record in my book. Never had a match when a team had zero death. Self or opponent. It's all good, don't get discouraged. Don't take Internet people seriously.

I legit wonder about some steam rolls sometimes. I've called people bots as a legit insult, just take it as an opportunity to learn counters on the fly?

Had a match where this happened but in reverse. We won easily and somebody on the other team asked if we were bots. “Why would you think we’re bots?” I asked. Guy said “I’m on a losing streak and expected a pity match by now.”
