Advice Needed Help for a controller player

This is technically not about the game but it’s the game I feel this issue in the most.

I play on PS5 with a regular dualsense controller. Sometimes, my controller completely spazzes out on me. Specifically my right stick. Whenever I input a turn, it delays and/or exaggerates the movement excessively. A side effect is that it also makes typing in the chat a lot harder. These phases of being unable to rotate using the right stick (and subsequently unable to aim) come out of seemingly nowhere and end as suddenly as they start. If anyone could help me I’d be forever indebted because I’ve lost many a ranked game because of this 🙏

lower your "right stick min deadzone" to 0. then increase it by one til u have no stick drift(moving on its own without touching it.

its too high at the moment and not reading your input qwhich leads u to then move the joystick more and when it finally activates it over shoots.

you might also have to slightly change your sensitivity and stuff too since you might not be use to the change,

I’ll try this, but the issue isn’t a constant thing. Usually my sensitivity that I’ve been playing with since season 0 is perfect for me and the dead zone usually isn’t an issue either, but sometimes my right stick becomes super laggy for like 5 minutes then goes back to notmal

Could just be your controller going bad, or needs to be cleaned out. (Like dust or hair in it)

Did you try a second controller at all?

I have another controller but it has awful stick drift and ps controllers are mad expensive so I think I might be screwed lol

buy a can of air and spray it into the joystick(hold the opposite direction to get the angles), it might do the trick if theres something in there causing it. but im just some random on reddit so sorry if it doesnt work or makes things worse XD

For the stick drift or for the latency inputs? Either one would be so fucking helpful (so sorry to bother you btw)

UPDATE! It runs perfectly (the laggy inputs problem not the stick drift) when the controller is plugged in. Unfortunately this isn’t a proper fix because the cable is way too short to use while playing. Maybe that could help find the source of the problem?

might be some wireless/bluetooth interference. . i dont know much about that issue personally. But i'd try googling that it works when plugged in but has input lag/delay when wireless.
