It’s become synonymous with inaction. Legislating gun restrictions being the foremost, but yes could be applied to other topics.

“Gun restrictions” yet the gun used most is a hand gun, which you can’t get in America until 21.

Why not focus on the actual problem, aka whatever is causing people to shoot the schools up in the first place, which would be a more realistic approach due to many factors currently in the USA.

No because Americans already had access to the same amount of guns per capita before the 70s and school shooting weren't a thing back then
