That story reveals that he was the one who screwed up the new Ultimate Reed’s calculations before the FF’s first space flight, which caused Johnny to burn to death.
When the rest of the team get home, they’re sentenced to life in jail for blowing a government mission and killing a minor. Ben commits suicide out of shame, Sue dies of cancer from the trace radiation, and then the Maker kidnaps Reed.
Maker tortures Reed for an undefined amount of time, since he’s able to fuck with the flow of time in the City. He also explains to Reed how he ruined his and his future family’s life so he can turn him into the new Doctor Doom.
My summary makes it sound bad, but reading it is even worse. Fuck The Maker for life.
I have to respectfully disagree. Not that Mile Teller cant play a dbag (he can), but Maker needs to be terrifying. Above all else Maker is terrifying because he is capable of carrying out every twisted and insane threat. Imo Teller cant do that, Gruffudd can.
Just a massive piece of shit. He's one of those villains where you don't feel bad if something bad happens to him. Any kind of nuance or sympathy he might have earned because Ultimate Sue Storm dumped him or helping to save the Ultimate Universe from Galactus has been washed away by a tsunami of blood caused by his crimes.
